This hardware is pretty good. It came with my export kit which I got a year ago. I've upgraded to a new kit and DW hardware, but this (minus the pedal and hi-hat stand) stands up right next to it. Pedal is crap, hi hat stand is decent, but the cymbal and snare stands are really great. Theyve held up to almost 2 years of constantly being transported without a case. A couple problems:Over time, some parts that can't be tightened without special tools get loose andIf you use a clamp to clamp a tom or other cymbal to the stands, the metal isn't very strong and dents over timeOverall, a great hardware set to go with a Pearl, PDP, or similarly priced kit!
This hardware pack has been great I have not had any problems with it, but I have began to upgrade my cymbals to Zildjian Z customs and as we all know they are very heavy, but the only cymbal the stand has a slight problem with holding up is the 20" ride (the heaviest one of my set) but the problem only occurs if I intentionally put a little more weight toward the direction the cymbal is leaning, and also take in to consideration this is when I set the arm holding it almost as far out as possible.
I spent about 20 hours of literally researching what hardware to buy for my new drum set and this is by far the best value you?re going to get. Everything is very strong and sturdy and the snare basket is NOT too high as most say, but "IF" you find that it is you can just saw off a piece to make it shorter. My friend has this high-hat stand for 5 yrs and he gigs at least twice a week. If you were to buy everything separate you would spend about a lot more, look no further this is your best buy unless you?re a professional then off course you would own top of the line hardware. But if you are in a band who gigs constantly or simply low on cash this hardware pack is so cheap and of such good value so buyP.s. WE should ALL really ?START WRITING REVIEWS? on here because I myself take into consideration the reviews when I buy something and it really helps us out.
I was really surprised when I opened up this pack and saw the quality of these stands. This is an awesome deal. The stands are pretty heavy in weight and seem built to last. The rubber foot pads are huge so I don't seem them ever failing, cracking, or falling off. Great adjustability. Drum pedal is solid and great action. You won't be disappointed with this pack for the price.
I got these in a few days ago. I've been drumming a while and have seen my share of hardware. To be honest I was expecting something you'd get with a beginner kit; lite hardware, cheap joints, flimsy stuff. I was surprised first of all how heavy the box was. Then I took all the pieces out. Everything feels like I can run it over with a truck! The only complaint is that the bass pedal make my bass wobbly, but thats more of a complaint against my little bass. This is the best hardware deal I've seen in a long time. You get your moneys worth, every penny
I got a set similar to these in an 8 piece export kit I bought a while back. I must say that they are quite impressive. Not only do they hold well but they also look great under the lights. On top of all of that they make for easy tear down and set up. That is pretty important to me cause just about every weekend I am playing several shows and if it took more that 10 min to set up all of my stands I just wouldn't be able to do it all. The only thing that I'm not crazy about is the hi-hat stand cause it is hard to get it beside a second bass drum, but half the time I don't even take that bass drum to gigs so it doesn't bother me that much. For features I gave it a 4 cause it isn't as nice as the 2000 series from pearl (which by the way is in my opinion the best hardware series on the market), but for this little money you can't quite expect that.
This is very good hardware. I got this set+ in the 7 piece that I bought about a year ago and it has held up very well. The only thing that have gone wrong so far is the slip that the hi-hat rod goes into has gotten a little off center, but that isn't too big of a deal. It works well after you get the rod into it. My favorite part of this package is the petals. They are very adjustable and very consistant. Even though there is much better hardware out there, this works just fine. Any way for me it does.
