The review title basically says it all. It is a great stand for the price. However, when my Pearl P122TW double pedal moves too much the pedal starts to grind up against the leg of the stand. This can be fixed by making your pedals immobile, if you can figure out how to. I find myself adjusting the double bass pedal after every song. If you have the money and play with a double bass pedal, just upgrade to a two-legged stand. Again, this is still a nice stand for the money, and it comes with a decent clutch that shouldn't fail you.

I've been using this for about a year now, constantly adjust and readjusting various settings, but can never seem to find a reasonable one. It's very well made, but the action is very weak. Doesn't allow for good heel splashes, it's not sensitive enough. The clutch is erratic, naturally tighten the top hi-hat cymbal through play and/or practice, this causing problems for cymbal accents to shine thoroughly. I've used cheaper and generic hi-hat stands that have actually allowed the cymbals to sound, and most of all, feel way better.

pearl hi hat stand

By the bear-.aXWw

this is a great stand and is very strong I was going to buy the eliminator hi hat stand. However this stand is the greatest. It looks good and holds up my heavy hats with out a problem. This is realy a great product, which they could realy charge alot more for.

Very nice hi hat stand!!

By supersabianman

from Wrightwood,CA

I bought this hi hat stand about 6 months ago. I love it. It was a definite upgrade from my old no brand stand. Also I like the tension adjustment by the base, it can be adjusted so it is just right. This is a good deal. Only con is a little on the expensive side.

niiiiiiice stand

I got this a few months ago. It's pretty stable, and you can adjust the spring tension. The legs rotate which is a plus for double bass players. The drive is a little squeaky, but overall this is a good deal.

Really Solid Stand

By BUNCE

This is a really solid hi hat stand that's equal to stands at twice the price. Easy to set up for gigs - I don't find any issues with it at all.

this is a good stand

By metalhead123-hkM34

I bought this stand about 5 or 6 months ago ever since it's still standing with nothing wrong. The legs move so if you have double pedals you can move it closer. It's a great stand.

Awsome

By Pearl to the end

from Gainesville, VA

Man, this stand rocks. In the some of the songs that I play I have to kick really fast on both the hi hat and bass, and this stand does not move at all. This is why I use this stand. And I probably put it throught alot of abuse and it still holds up really good. It is very smooth and very easy to adjust. Buy This!!

THE PERFECT STAND

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

I've had many Hi-Hat stands over the years.. This one came with a kit I bought to be a backup.. After a few adjustments (which are very slick) it performed perfectly. I used it on the road for 7 years, till recently when a well intentioned fan stripped the leg lock screw...(don't over tighten) I'm getting another because they are tough, durable, and play great... Keep the chrome clean, and it will last longer than most people play drums... It's the best road stand on the market... Hands Down!!!
