These are nice straps. I would definitely buy one again. The dye issue is a bit of an annoyance, but should be easily fixed by washing the strap. They should just leave the leather natural.
Two end pieces with holes in them, and a piece of woven fabric of adjustable length in between. It definitely meets the criteria to qualify as a strap.
Both of the straps I bought are nice, and seem to be of fine quality. The stitching is good.
The minor issue is with the dyed black leather ends. I put the strap on my brand new white Tele copy, and it bled black dye onto the guitar. I was able to wipe it off, but it was an unexpected surprise. It might not wipe off so easily if it sits on the instrument for an extended period of time.
I haven't noticed any discoloration on my Jazz bass, but that is a sunburst finish.
It might be a good idea to wash these things before putting them on an light colored instrument.
These are a good value, and seem like they will last a long time.

I own a bunch of these in beige. I gave them 5 stars in my previous review. These straps now earn 1 star-- the minimum.
The item has changed. The quality is much worse. The photo has NOT changed.
I have included photos in my review so you can make an educated decision.
OLD Version:
- TWO layers of THICK leather
- STURDY stitching around the entire end
- Tight strap button slot
NEW Version:
- ONE layer of THIN leather
- SINGLE row of stitching
- Loose strap button slot (thin leather doesn't help)
I put this strap on my Tele. 10 minutes later, it slipped right off the button. Luckily, I caught it.
NOT RECOMMENDED.

Comments about Perri's 2" Cotton Guitar Strap:
I'm sorry, but i refuse to pay $30+ for a guitar strap...
I've been using these for years, and have yet to have an issue. When i buy a new guitar, i just pick up another one of these. :)
If you like a simple cotton strap, don't hesitate, get one of these...
Why Pay more than you have to?

Comments about Perri's 2" Cotton Guitar Strap:
I use these straps on almost all my guitars. The big plus for me is the heavy cotton material. The strap will not slide as nylon ones do. They are well made and much less expensive than all leather straps.
Pros
- Comfortable Material
Cons
- Doesnt Hold A Guitar
- Poor Quality
Best Uses
- Back Scratcher
Comments about Perri's 2" Cotton Guitar Strap:
Worst strap I've ever owned. Failed at the only thing it's made to do. Plastic ring broke after about 10 hours of light use, sending an $800 guitar face down onto the floor. Got a nice big crack next to the volume knob that reminds me every time to not buy Perri's strap. Boo.
Pros
Cons
- Cheap Materials
- Poor Quality

Best Uses

Comments about Perri's 2" Cotton Guitar Strap:
You can't go wrong with these.
I use these because they are much more comfortable than nylon straps and I like them better than leather straps unless the leather quality is very high and the leather is very soft. For the price you can't beat these. I have the same strap on all my guitars and they look nice hanging on the wall together with them all matching. I use cheap "straplock" plasitc buttons I bought on Ebay over the strap pegs on all my guitars for safety since any nonlocking strap can come off accidentally.
My oldest ones are 5-6 years old and are holding up great. Leather ends and the strap itself don't fray and the buckle doesn't slip.
Best strap buy for the money!
Comments about Perri's 2" Cotton Guitar Strap:
Strap is very comfortable. the most comfy strap on the body i have felt in this price range.
features? its a guitar strap. its hold up the guitar well. Honestly, the color is called beige but is really white. That was a bummer. Not sure why they call it beige.
Seems very nice. Good stitching, seems well made.
Great value!

Super comfortable, made with high-quality material, and is $7? Dang.
Comments about Perri's 2" Cotton Guitar Strap:
It adjusts easily. It has no gimmicks, like plastic locks that break. If you want a cheap "strap lock" you can make one with common twist-ties ( like you tie your bread-bags with) or those plastic bread-bag clips. It is comfortable. Cotton feels good against bare skin and does not chafe. (important on those hot sweaty blues gigs!)It is inexpensive, but NOT cheaply made. I have used these for decades with no problems. You can clean it in the washing-machine and make it even softer. You can dye-it or decorate it with markers. You won't impress that hot vegan chick with a leather-strap no matter how expensive it is.Less than ten bucks.Deal.Spend less. Practice more. Stop looking for bling and get out your metronome now!
