However the leather is simply too thin and weak to reliably hold the weight of any 'real' guitar.
dont trust it your Les Paul Custom or other such stupidly priced axe... The leather will fail and you will be crying yourself to sleep.
I hung my new Les Paul Studio from this strap for less than 3 seconds before I took the strap off and threw it in the spare parts bin. I would not trust this strap with anything buy my cigar box and my 3/4 Baby Taylor.
A nylon strap with 2 very thin leather ends for attaching to your guitar.
When I say very thin leather I mean VERY THIN leather.
Yes it is a strap, but the leather ends are so thin and chincy that any guitar other than a 3/4 scale acoustic would be too heavy to use this strap safely. Any guitar with weight will severely deform the leather ends which could lead tearing of the VERY THIN leather, or possibly slipping off the strap boss on your guitar.
The nylon quality is fine -- you really cant go wrong, nylon is tough.
The leather ends of the strap are way too thin and chincy to trust any instrument of value.
The strap is cheap enough, so if you just need something cheap for you cheap/lightweight guitar it is a strap... but

Of course the price is an appealing thing about these straps, but if you can afford something better, it will be worth it. The leather ends are very thin. They haven't ripped yet, but sure feel like they want to. The nylon is also thin. Granted the nylon is very durable, but because it's thinner than usual, it does not distribute the weight of the instrument well. This would be a poor choice for a bass (which is what I'm using it for). It digs into my shoulder somewhat. It might be suitable for a lightweight guitar, but again, I don't find the savings to be worth it.

For the $$ you just can't go wrong purchasing this strap as a backup (like when the dog eats your expensive strap). Simple, easy to use, leather slot ends, but zero padding -- so not too terribly comfortable for long periods of playing.
