So I got these at a local guitar shop about 2 years ago to keep in my wallet with hope I'd never have to ask "Does anyone have a pick I can use?" And with that reason it was a success. There was a big downside though. I used it on both my acoustic and electric. I have never really disliked a pick but these I did not like. It feels like cheap plastic. Not like credit card plastic, cheap plastic. I played for about 3 hours and I noticed the side of one of the pics had started to wear down. Then it wouldn't even stay in the card. Not cool. It had gotten so bad that when I went to go do a pinch harmonic it wouldn't do it because it felt like I was holding on to a layer of a fingernail. That's the only way I can describe it. The layer of the fingernail that is floppy with any kind of pressure against it. It was that bad. The only good thing about it was that I had spare picks all the time, until this happened with all 4. I would say for a dollar it's worth it but they won't last long. I never give bad reviews unless the product is really bad. Even now I'm giving it an average rating. The pick starts to sound like plastic when you play it on an acoustic or even when your playing on an electric and you have your volume down enough where you can hear your pick hitting the strings. It was like folding a piece of paper 2 times then laminating it and expecting it to be a pick. If they can take this idea and apply it to tortex picks, you'd have a better chance. Hope this was helpful. Again I'm not completely dogging it I'm just saying don't expect a normal pick out of it. Get it for a dollar but don't count on it being your primary pick for longer than a day.
I bought these and put them in my wallet. I was visitng with some friends who play well and no one could find a pick, then I remembered that I had the pikcard in my wallet. The guys used them and were happy they could play. they all said if they can't find a pick they would be grateful to have a pikcard in their wallet. Whats in your wallet?
Someone gave me a pikcard when I couldn't find a pick one night. It saved me so that I could jam with my firends. It played well and even after playing for about an hour it went right back into the card. No more cutting up credit cards or using quarters for me
I keep a bunch of these excellent PikCARD picks with me at all times. They're definitely convenient and incredibly durable. I?ve used and reused these picks over and over for several months at a time and they?ve held up very well with no problems. They appear to be made of some sort of rigid plastic material, so they feel quite smooth but have a really satisfying grip. They always attract a lot of attention whenever I use them, which is a definite bonus, and I usually end up giving away a few cards at my gigs. Overall, these are really good quality picks.
I bought these pick for the convinience of having spare picks in my wallet, it seemed like an ingenius idea but when I received them I notice that these weren't plastic. They are like hard cardboard wrapped in cellophane. When I put one in my mouth I noticed it started to warp. These picks look nice and are convinient when there is absolutely no choice, but I wont buy them anymore.
