The reason im giving it an 8 is because its mainly meant for side on side (strat style) button placements or it'll be twisted up a little bit. Nothing too big, but a little annoying for me. This is actually my 2nd one, the first one i got was the 20 dollar one with a design for my bc rich (both buttons on the back). So what i did to fix it was cut the strap, flip the lock around, and sewed it back together. Perfect. But i bought a regular black one for my future guitar i plan on getting.H
Great guitar strap, perfect for the crazy guitarist.
Really good, strong material. Locks are strong and built to last.

Tried it on an Ibanez RG2550Z (last year's model). You can barely put it on; the button head on the guitar is about 17-18mm, but the widest part of the strap holder is 17mm (the narrow is 10mm). Trying in an angle I finally managed to get it on, but there's not enough freedom of movement and I couldn't quite get it to sit right.
I removed right away, and noticed it left some rubber on the guitar. Maybe it's because I had to struggle to put it on, but it doesn't look like the right choice of material.
Summary:
* The locking mechanism looks nice (assuming it's durable, which I didn't test).
* It didn't fit my guitar because of the 17mm opening and because the holders are bulky thickness-wise.
* The rubber on the internal side isn't durable.

This is a great strap, and it does its job well, too well. If you aren't careful, this will strip your strap pegs! The plastic is really hard and durable, and if you accidentally pull at a certain angle, it will lift the pegs right out of your guitar like a crowbar. If you know you're not going to be doing any extreme stage movements, this is really good and definitely easy to install.

Great for use with most guitars. Since the locking mechanism works on one side only, it won't lock to a button behind the guitar neck, like a Gibson SG, without twisting the strap. Not much of a problem but annoying for me.

This is the best straplock design ever. You can remove the strap and put it on in a second or two, and you don't have to keep the strap attached to the guitar while in the case like other straplocks. I play a very heavy Les Paul copy and no longer have to curl my body over while playing so as to catch my guitar if it falls!

This sturdy strap is just as advertised. My guitar needed the free strap button, which worked great, and to my surprise, came within three or 4 days. A mail-in request comes with the original shipment. I'm going to order a second strap.

I bought this from MF in January 2012. By August one of the plastic locks had broken and the strap was useless.
The strap lock at the base of my Fender Strat somehow got caught on something and cracked open. The plastic holding the screws was irreparably broken and the strap wouldn't stay on. Now the strap is useless.
This seems like a very poor design if it's this fragile.

This little gem secures electric guitars without surgery to your guitar. It's light and will fit in most cases, attached to your guitar, if you need to pack up in a hurry. It's easy to use, and goes on and off without much effort and keeps your instrument ON you and secure. The nylon strap is light and not flashy, function is it's sole purpose and it delivers the security you want. I tried the strap lock competitors and the results were less than pleasing, even though you get a wider variety of strap options. If you want flash it's not for you, but if you want understated strength and security, it's a very good deal.

This is one of the best straps I have ever owned- and there have been many. It's the most secure out there IMO, and is a simple sturdy design. It is NOT fancy, but it takes away the concern of your guitar falling off you at a very reasonable price with no modifications to the instrument.
I've read many comments about fitting the strap to diffent size end pins- this is not a problem. With each strap ordered, there is an offer for a set that will fit easily free of charge, save a $2.50 shipping fee. In chrome or gold finish. The originals can be put back to bring the guitar to original at any time and maintain the integrity/value of your instrument.
