I've had the 20 something foot cable for about a couple years now. While this cable is probably the future of cables to come, its very flawed. The circuit breaker part works very well. Its basically a button on the end of the plug that allows you to "turn on" or "turn off" your cable so you won't hear the pop sound or any feedback from plugging in your cable. That part seems very sturdy and functional. Also my guitar tone sounds very good through it. I think theres less noise than my cheaper cables. Other than that though its not the greatest cable out there. The main thing that bothers me about it is the way they connect the plug to the cable. Its only held by a slotted screw that allows your plug to slip from the cable. While this ease of construction may be good for the diy cable people who want a specific length, its a pain for any guitarist that tugs on their cable from regular use. Honestly I've had mine slip out of the plug atleast once a week from normal use. And when that happens you have to unscrew the screw on the plug, strip the rubber from the cable about 3/4" and stick it back in there. I've probably lost atleast a few feet because of the reinstalling of the plug to the cable. Also the rubber isn't very thick, causing the cable to slightly pop when it hits against something, which can be annoying. So while this cable is a good innovation, I wouldn't recommend it until D'addario comes out with a improved circuit breaker cable.

Ive been using the planet waves circuit breaker cable for awhile now when playing with my band Terminal Fate. The first one i bought broke in about 6 months, it's the ten foot model. Sure they replaced it, after i payed for shipping, and had to go buy a different cable for a show coming up the next day. The ends are bulky and dont fit right into some jacks. as i said before they break easily. They sound good for awhile but now i have one that picks up ALOT of hum. I wouldnt recommend it to anyone. Liverwire cables are cheaper and sound just as good when playing live. the only reason im still using this is because Its the free replacement and i leave it at home for practice only. It also slips out of any jack very easily. It constantly slips out of my wah pedal and was a big problem during a gig i had once.

Comments about Planet Waves Circuit Breaker 1/4" Straight Instrument Cable:
and finally after a couple instances of needing to contact planet waves I can say they are legit and HIGHLY recommended
-sound quality
-lifetime warranty
-circuit breaker
-24k gold, magnetic ends
First off I got this cable about a year ago if not more, it was to replace the cable i touch most (instrument to gt-8) which therefor i tend to need to clip the ends the most for simple maintenance. I went with this 20ft circuit breaker and couldn't be happier.
I've since removed all other non-planet waves, and only use planet waves. I am not some rich musician that can afford monster cables or even some of the planet waves cables BUT I highly recomment making that efford to get better sound quality for your signal.. its too worth it.

The title says it all! These cables (and planet waves in general) are pretty great and high quality. The unique quality about these is there is no sodering required! if the end near the jack splits or frays, simply undue the jack (one slotted screw) cut the frayed piece off then twist the jack back on and screw it in. Its simply brilliant! Love these cables and love their quality plus the circuit breaker has never crapped out on me. Hope this helps.
Comments about Planet Waves Circuit Breaker 1/4" Straight Instrument Cable:
I got 2 of the 20' Circuit Breaker cables about a month ago and I love them. I was using cheap cables before and I can hear a bit better signal coming through with these. Gold conductors are great for instrument cables and these have that. The "circuit breaker" part of the cable works wonderfully. This is great because I change guitars a lot. The click of a button gives me beautiful silence. The cable itself is really durable, not extremely flexible but not stiff either. The ONLY problem I have with these is that they slide out of my older Ibanez guitars because the jack is bigger and that isn't the cables fault. Great cables, well worth the cash even though I hate to drop $50 on a cable, it's better than a Monster.
Comments about Planet Waves Circuit Breaker 1/4" Straight Instrument Cable:
I used to use Planet Waves cables a whole lot. I loved the idea of the circuit breaker, I still think its genius. However Me and my friend have had the same problem with planet waves cables, they seem to short out somewhere in the line, regardless of what kind of planet waves cable it was. They were generally pretty reliable and the warranty is nice since most of mine shorted out at some point. Id recommend Monster cables at this price however Planet Waves is a nice runner up

I had one for years and they replaced it with no problem. The sound quality is great, it doesn't add or take away tone. And if you're playing loud at a gig, that button feature will save your speakers from an early death.
Comments about Planet Waves Circuit Breaker 1/4" Straight Instrument Cable:
This cable is hands down the best one I have ever owned in 30+ years of playing guitar! The only thing that could make it better is to have a breaker switch on both ends. After reading some of the negative reviews such as, "the plug falls out of my wah pedal", I am inclined to recommend that this guy spends more than $19.99 on his next wah pedal!!

Man! I've had this cable for pushing 7 years. It's a good gable, but it broke down about 8 months ago. I didn't try to return it cause i know their return policy really stinks.Anyway, found out that there are no solder points on the thing, just unscrewed the ends and cut off about a half an inch on each side and plugged it in and works like new!love it!BUY THIS CABLE, Trust me.

A friend recomended this cable, so i bought one, it was a tad expensive, but WOW it delivers. the cable is noiseless for the most part, but its 24k gold so it can be extremely sensetive and can passively pick up noise from other strings. Otherwise its perfect. However I've got an unlucky streak, I've had 2 of these come apart inside, but the cable comes with a lifetime warrenty or is an easy fix so no problem
Comments about Planet Waves Circuit Breaker 1/4" Straight Instrument Cable:
I was given one of these several years ago. It's still my main cable for guitar and bass. It's especially useful if you switch instruments and don't have an A/B box at hand. Turn it off, unplug/replug and switch on. Wish it was cheaper though {8-]
