Comments about Planet Waves Custom Pro Instrument Cable:

I give a big thumbs up.
I'm going to buy more to replace some of my older cables... including Mogami.
    The Amphenol plugs are solid.
Metal jackets make for a pro feel.
Perfectly sized and gold plated plugs are a thing of beauty.
Great fit and connection with my guitar and amp.
I like the included cable tie too.
In my case, I could hear a noticable difference with my guitar rig.
I think these are really well made cables.
The quality in the construction is obvious.
The sound is a step up for me.
Pretty amazing that a cable can do that.

    Waste of Money

    By Elfranco

Comments about Planet Waves Custom Pro Instrument Cable:

I bought a 10 foot cable along with D'Addario's 10 Set of EXL110's around a year ago. It sounded great at first, but a few months in it lost quality. I live extremely winter, and when I've jammed with my friend in a insulated garage, it coiled up like a rattlesnake. Not fun kicking it for an hour and switching to cable cheaper and better quality. About a month ago, it started cutting out, a lost its signal. I contacted D'Addario though email, no response back in three weeks. I love buying American made products, but they failed me big time. Also, the "packaged" strings were poorly made. D'Addario needs to rethink their process, customer service, and production.

    Excellent Cord

Comments about Planet Waves Custom Pro Instrument Cable:

The ends are longer and more solid than most cables, so it wont short out as easily there. The wire casing is very durable. There no noticeable tone or quality loss. This cable is great! I have played many shows with this, jumping around, twisting and turning with my guitar, and the cord has lasted through it all.

    GARBAGE

Comments about Planet Waves Custom Pro Instrument Cable:

Right out of the package this cable had a shorted end. The cable clips inside the housing are made of plastic! Bless Musicians Friend for taking care of the situation hassle free.

Ever wanted to hear your axe proper?

    By Ampbox

Comments about Planet Waves Custom Pro Instrument Cable:

Go-out-and-buy-this-guitar-cable-NOW!If you'd like to hear the acoustics of your axe get in touch with your electronics, see above. The gold Amphenol plugs make contact with the jacks with precision, allowing the wood of your axe and it's natural warmth shine to through. Believe you me - I never knew you could actually achieve this effect without spending a thousand bucks or two.The Custom Pro cable also removes any exsisting muddy overtones, allowing more clarity than ever before. I thought the PW Custom cable was not going to be too different from the Pro, and it isn't, but the Custom doesn't have the Pro features aspect, only it's basic tone.I'd still use the PW Custom as an alternative cable, but if I can help it - I'm only using the Planet Waves Custom Pro! And so should you.

    Not ready for prime time

    By Buduranus2

Comments about Planet Waves Custom Pro Instrument Cable:

I read the product comparison on the back of the packaging and couldn't reconcile how the Custom Pro cable, "the ultimate" according to the mfr's hype, could have a lower "Signal Transparency" than the Circuit Breaker cables. In other words, how does a product rated 9/10 by the manufacturer outperform a product rated 10/10? Further baffling to me was the fact that all cables listed on the comparison use 24 AWG conductors. So, again, I had difficulty understanding how the CPs were any different from the Customs, or the Circuit Breakers for that matter. Besides, it's a bit of a stretch to call 24 AWG wire "heavy gauged." And the illustration on the front of the CP packaging revealed the "network" of conductors to be a "network" of two. This seems a little misleading, given that the Customs' conductors are described as a "twisted pair." So why is it a "network" on the CPs but only a "twisted pair" on the Customs? I may not be the sharpest tack in the toolbox, but, especially given the identical performance ratings of the CPs and Customs, I'd bet they're the identical cable with different connectors.
