All the quick and easy features you want, none of the tuning and buzzing hassles you don't.

The patented Planet Waves Dual-Action Capo is not your ordinary trigger-type capo. Compound action reduces the force necessary to open and close the capo. It also eliminates side-pulling the strings out of tune, which is prevalent on other trigger-type capos. Aircraft-quality aluminum construction adds virtually no weight to the guitar's neck when in use and the capo can be clamped on the headstock when idle. Simply adjust the tactile micrometer tension control so there is just enough tension to eliminate string buzzing and enjoy repeatable, in-tune performance at every fret.

    Features

    • Designed to fit most 6- and 12- string guitar necks with radiused fingerboards

I had been using Dunlop capos, and Kyser. I always had tuning and intonation problems, not only on acoustic but also on my telecaster. After I purchased this capo all those problems were gone. No buzzing, no bad intonation or tuning... perfect. I use it on my parts tele and Am Std Strat, for gigs and leading worship. This is completely worth the purchase!

I bought this capo about a year ago and I'm very disappointed with it. When I first purchased capo it worked great for acoustic and electric. Now the capo is like it has lost all it's tension it barely holds down the strings on my telecaster and won't hold down the strings on acoustic anymore. I've had a cheap 5 dollar Duncan one I've had for years that I'm now using instead.this is way over priced and not built to last you can buy 3 cheap ones for the price of one of these and they will last longer.very poor design planet waves

I never tested this at the music store. The plastic parts failed. It broke. Buy a capo with metal parts.

Comments about Planet Waves Dual Action Capo:

I've loved this capo since I got it about a year and a half ago. However as it got older, the little screw at the end for tightening the spring started to rattle while I was playing. It's not really a problem with electrics because the amp will drown it out, but when you're getting into a song on an acoustic or even tuning (I keep mine clamped to the headstock when I'm not using it) it rattles. If you're just using it for practicing its worth it, but in the long run I'd say go for something else.

          I've had TONS of capos...

          By Seamless

          from Duluth, MN

Comments about Planet Waves Dual Action Capo:

As we say in AA....Keep It Simple Stupid....you didn't...thus you get a "D" in my book. Spend your money on a simpler design. The ones that LOOK the dullest are the best.
It looks nice...feels nice....but I've found over the years, that the more mechanical parts on a capo, the easier it's going to screw up. Look at this capo....some rocket scientist had to have figure this one out. Folks? All a capo need do is hold the strings down over a selected fret...it's NOT rocket science.
The tension spring broke on the first one I got...and on the second one as well. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me~!
This capo also costs well over the cost of other, simpler (and more effective in my book) capos.

          Does the job no problems

Comments about Planet Waves Dual Action Capo:

It is easier to get on fast unlike some of the other brands. It has a sleek profile so it looks good, (always important on stage.) It just plain works. I've had so many sales people try to convince me the other expensive products are better but when you are going from one song to another and have to get your capo on and have it set perfectly right away, this just plain works.
          Still works great.

It was great until it broke

          By Virgil Seagle

          from Bremen, Georgia

Comments about Planet Waves Dual Action Capo:

I used the Planet Wave Duel Action Capo exclusively for about 12 months. Then one night while practicing, I started to place it on the neck of my guitar and it flew apart. The tension screw broke. I'm glad I wasn't playing a gig when it happened. My local music store replaced it free of charge but now I hesitate to use it. I suggest a more sturdy tension screw would help if the problem is chronic.

Comments about Planet Waves Dual Action Capo:

This capo is the best one I've ever owned. It was given to me by a friend, and it's absolutely perfect. It stays tight, is easy to use, and keeps the strings in perfect tuning. It's amazing. If you want a good capo to last a long time, this is the one.
