I got stuck in a pinch, my Ibanez Acoustic Electric neck went waaayy out of whack, no idea what happened but no amount a truss rod twisting would get it any where near straight. I am saving for a high end Acoustic Electric, so I didn't want to buy a new guitar right now. So the solution to my problem was clear, take the electronics out of the Ibeenhad and install them in my trusty Jasmine S-35 beater. ( I LOVE that cheap ass guitar, got it for 33.00). So I cut holes in my Jasmine and install the electronics. Sounds OK, but it could be better. I install the Tusk Saddle from the Ibanez as well, sounds better. The Bridge pins from the Ibanez are way too fat for the Jasmine, so I dropped twelve bucks on these and BAM! cheap a$$ plywood guitar sounds pretty darn good. I also noticed that the volume of the strings is much more well balanced than with the stock plastic pins. Better than the Ibanez Talman TCY10 EVER sounded. If you have a cheap beater and want to get the best possible sound out of it, install these.

These are really nice looking pins, which is why I bought them. I was setting up an Ibanez acoustic, which had abalone inlay in the rosette and headstock, so I thought I'd get the pins to match. The channel for the string is REALLY shallow. I was putting Martin 80/20 12s on - not a really weird choice. The E and A were flat out too big to fit in the groove of the pin. I tried to finesse it by putting the warp past the end of teh pin, but it slipped too much. I was able to jam the A in with the wrap in the pin, but I couldn't get the pin all the way down. I ended up pulling it out with a needle-nose pliers which lead to the second problem. If you get the pin jammed in for whatever reason, you will likely damage the pin trying to get it out. I understand they are only wood, but it still sucked. The pins are really short - about 3/4 of an inch actually goes into the bridge. I think this also contributed to the slippage. After 4 strings, I ended up pulling them all and going back to the original plastic. They would probably be alright if you used lighter strings with a normal wrap (the Martins have tape or something around the wrap) or if you cut a deeper groove in the pin.

These are nice pins, but didn't fit my guitar. The MF people were nice,(I called twice) but A) they weren't real sure about pin sizes, and B) there's not much info on them. (Graph Tech has good info on their site and on their packaging) So my overall rating reflects the service and what use I got out of them, as well as the product. Just be sure you're getting what you need.

Put them in my old Takamine G series and replace plastic pins. Warmed up the tone and increased sustain. The main thing is to make sure they are seeded firmly. The bottom E was a little tight.
For the cost of a set of premium strings a nice upgrade. I plan on buying another set for my other guitar. Just a note I use 80/20s.

The pins are shorter than my Martin plastic pins. Might be a different taper too. As I tighten the strings the pins keep pulling up. Tried everything to wedge them in but they just don't work. My guitar is a '97 SPD-16.

These pins do not fit my Alvarez steel string acoustic guitar. The diameter is too small so they do not fit snugly in the bridge holes. Also of note is that they are also about 3/16" shorter than the OEM plastic pins. These seem well made and are nice looking and they even give you an extra pin, but it would be helpful if Planet Waves and Musician's friend might include some compatibility information by guitar. I'd give the pins 4 or 5 stars for quality but the 3 star rating because they were useless to me.

I would buy these again for the price, but if I had a bit more to spend I would probably go for a little bit nicer set. These are solid, though definitely "value-minded" items.
I wanted an inexpensive replacement for my plastic bridge pins, and these fit the bill. The sound from my guitar is much clearer and the sustain is excellent.
Some of the grooves are not cut straight, and one of the pins fit too tightly until I sanded them. The strap pin was too small for my Fender. However, I went for a cheap set and I expected to need to do a little fit-work.
                              Good value for the price.

These look like quality pins made in USA Yaaaa! ( I prefer all American Products) By D?Addario for Planet waves. I?ll comment more after I test them but am sure they will help produce some smooth sustain on an old twelve string Toredo, Guitar I have. I am doing some professional Luthering on my own as I have done it before and am quite good, the neck is strait The wood is aged and seems to have a nitrocellulose finish which adds to tone and hardness of wood.. I purchase these and a graphtech tusq blank saddle I am probably going to remove a nut fret and build a custom oversized brass nut to correct the neck length and give a bright open sustain. These pins have a precision slot milled in them to clear the string. I am impressed these are not just a carving but machined piece that appear to have a finish over the nice pearl dots I ordered. I?m working on a song to raise money to help in the Gulf. I?m hoping these contribute to some nice tones.

These pins will improve the tone of your guitar if you are currently using plastic bridge pins. However, they are not competetively priced, and the fit in the guitars I've tried them with was inconsistent. I didn't use the end pin which comes with the set because it was too small to fit the end pin hole in my either of the guitars is tried it with. Try pins from a professionaly luthier instead, they will be consistently sized and cheaper as well.

I've been using the cheap plastic pins that came with my guitar for 7 years now and they were starting to wear down and wouldn't hold the strings in the bridge anymore, so I decided it was time for replacements. I was weary about buying these because I wasn't sure if the price would be worth the product, but I was very pleased and surprised after trying them out. First off, they fit pretty well in the bridge of my Ibanez which pleased me because I was afraid that they wouldn't. After playing my guitar with them equipped, I noticed that the tone was richer and the sustain was increased, which pleasantly surprised me. They also have a very nice appearance. I got the ones with the pearl inlay and they look much nicer than the cheap plastic ones I used to have. I must say that these are worth the price.
