I used the custom series with the compression springs for years, but decided to try the custom pro line. I bought this cable and compared it back and forth with my custom series PW cable. There were less "artifacts" in the sound. Seemed like there was extra hiss and distortion in the Custom pro. The Custom Pro also seemed to have more mids present. Overall, I think this is the best cable PW makes and one of the better store bought ones you can get.I have used PW cables for years, but I think there is better out there. After talking to many people and reading many reviews, I think I am going to go with Canare cables. I will compare them to the Custom Pro line, but I have a feeling there will be an improvement, and for a cheaper price as well.

After owning/using/abusing a bunch of ProCo Omegas for the past 20 years, I felt like I needed some new cables, so I bought 10 of the 20 foot with gold plated tips. I plugged in, hmmm, sounds as good as the old proco's. I got up to stand and heard a crackling sound, I moved the cable part attached to my guitar, more crackling. I thought that possibly it was a defective one, so I un-packaged another, plugged in, and exactly the same thing, I then unpackaged all of them and tried all of them... ALL of them had the same issue. I didn't think this was possible, so I plugged in one of my old proco's and nothing, no crackling. Just in case, I grabbed my wife's tweed dimarzio cable and it didn't crackle while moving either. Unfortunately I only sent 9 of them back as my dog decided to eat one of them before I could send them back. So the bottom line is: either they had a run of manufacturing defects, all of witch I received, or they are simply not made to be moved while playing.

Bought one a couple years back. Only cut out on me when my actual guitar jack was acting up. Thick cord, easy to untangle when you throw it all over the place. Not too expensive. Mine's been trampled before while rehearsing and the signal stayed strong for the most part. I would definitely buy another one, if for no other reason than some other cables are so expensive. Good quality for the money, no doubt about it.

I bought two of these 10' and use them live 1-2 times per week. I really liked the cord, which is why I bought another as a back-up and/or use with my acoustic. After six months, the main one became so twisted that it looks like it was designed with a braid. My back-up is starting to show the same problem. I think the culprit is the shielding, which apparently can't handle people like me who move on stage. The rating is because of the cost. If I had bought a cheap cord, shame on me, but I spent the extra bucks and got stuck anyway.

I bought two of these cables over a year ago and they both still work fine for me.Now I have not tried pulling my amps across the stage with them, played tug-o-war with my buds, or threw them in pile and walked on them but they do get used.So far I have received the same service from these cables as I have from ones costing two and three times as much.I'm happy with them!

I have owned 2 of these cables and they are junk. One was a factory warranty replacement for the first that failed and it was faulty right out of the box!

Yes, there a reviews saying that these cables broke in a matter of months. Well, this was my first average length cable, and I bought it almost a year ago. I got an EQ pedal, so i bought a monster cable to go from bass to pedal, and used this to go from pedal to amp. I bought the monster about 3 or 4 months ago. It just completely stopped working the other day, only lasted through 2 gigs. this chord is my reliable one

I bought a 20' and 10" about 7 months back, and was finally able to test them out in a jam situation. They sound good, better than some of the cheaper brand, but in my friends garage which was about 40 degrees, these curl up into a mess. It was really disappointing. They aren't designed for cold climates apparently.

This cable worked great until it inexplicably just stopped working, about 3 months after I got it. It made loud buzzing sound every time I would move the cable in the tiniest of ways. Additionally, there is no way I could have taken it apart to see if I could fix it. I wouldn't recommend this cable.
