Comments about Planet Waves ICON Leather Strap:
Good for what it is, but not good for serious use.
Features: it has holes where it needs them.
This strap is definitely not fit for stage use. I picked this up for my son, as he is learning guitar, and I immediately compared it to the straps I use on stage (Levy's) and it is clear that this is not fit for stage use. The strap is slightly springy and it is thin, not inspiring confidence for serious use. It will be fine for home, but I wouldn't trust it on the road at all.
It is a fine value for what you get. The price is considerably less than what I use on the road and the quality shows that, but it is just fine for what it is. Just KNOW what you are getting before you buy and it is worth the money. This one won't hold up to many sweaty nights on tour, so stick with your Levy's leather.
Comments about Planet Waves ICON Leather Strap:
I bought the celtic strap. I used it on all my guitar when practicing. After a few months the strap holes started to stretch. Iput strop locks on it so it would keep my Ibanez Iceman secure but the leather had stretched so much that it slip right out of the strap lock and could have damaged my guitar. Also the strap is kind of short for me becuase I like my guitar low and the Iceman is a big guitar
Comments about Planet Waves ICON Leather Strap:
I always get compliments on this strap. It looks fantastic and is very comfortable - I use this on a solid mahagony LP and I can go for hours. Unlike many other straps I've used, it was very easy to install the strap lock ends. The only critique is that it's not long enough for tall people. I'm 6'2" and have it on the longest setting and the guitar sits a little higher than I would like it. Mind you, I'm not the kind of guy who likes to play with the guitar between his knees, either.
Comments about Planet Waves ICON Leather Strap:
These leather straps are very comfortable the holes last and wont rip so you cant drop your guitar (which would suck). Right now I have a levi strap which is nice felling but I am going to put it on my acoustic and I am going to buy one of these leather straps. If your not looking for a leather and cant find any comfortable straps with cool designs I would suggest a levi. Also levi straps nob holes will not rip so if you want you can probly swing your guitar (which I would never do)!
