I bought the Planet Waves Joe Satriani Nylon Guitar Strap Blue/White Souls of Distortion Item #365248000733070
This was the first guitar strap that I have ever been excited about buying. Ever since I was a kid, I've loved Satriani's guitar with the 'Souls of Distortion' drawings. I bought this strap the day that I saw it. Aside from the fact that it looks very cool on my Ibanez bass (Black Transparent finish, BTB model), as other reviews have stated, it feels great. In fact, it's the most comfortable guitar strap I've ever used. I've played guitar for over 25 years now, but haven't played live in over 10 years. On top of that, a year ago I started playing bass guitar in a band that plays regular gigs every weekend. At first, I was so sore from holding a 'heavier' instrument for 4+ hours and being out of shape from not playing live for so long. This strap made it so much more comfortable to hold my bass, and now I am not sore from holding it anymore. I've only been using it for a month now, but it is obviously very high quality, and seems like it will be very durable (I also presume that it should last a long time, as the best guitar cable that I have ever owned, and still own after many years, was made by Planet Waves). I highly recommend this guitar strap!

ok, so this is by far my favorite strap out of all the straps i own. i have the red "up in flames" one and for me, its the perfect combination of comfort, value, and general awesomeness. i used to use it on my epi dot (es335)but ive been using it on my custom squier p bass special (p body, j neck, pj p-ups)since i started playing bass in a band since i find it more comfortable than my 3 other straps.

By random chance, the Up In Flames JS guitar strap was the first one I've ever had. It's lasted about four years now, being the only strap I used for quite a while for both my electric guitars and my acoustic guitar. I can just say that the best ones are indestructible. Mine is very nicely broken in, and I just recently bought another one to go with my new acoustic guitar.I warn you now, however!My best friend got the Souls of Distortion one, and the threads on one end for the leather part broke, completely. I fixed it up for him, and it works perfectly fine now, but just be warned, these may have a factory fault where the end simply breaks, especially if you use a heavier guitar like my friend did (Epiphone LP). Overall, this strap is extremely dependable and breaks in very nicely. I never have any back pain from it or anything like that.

This strap looks beautiful out of the box and is very soft will not hurt your shoulders on long standing performances its a great strap.

This strap is soft and feels padded. It does it's job and it looks cool. There is also a huge bonus if you play with a small pick (such as Jazz III), it's little square planet waves patch can serve as a Jazz III pocket, awesome.

I have the "Up in Flames" red strap and have been using it for over 4 years. Stick some Dunlop Straploks on there and this will keep your axe safe and looks way cool.I have played many 3-4hr gigs...and gig several nights a week, not counting the hours of practicing with the strap on also...i have had no pain and it is a great strap. I play a custom Carvin DC200, so an electric solid body guitar...however i don't use it on my 335 (changing the straplok direction all the time would be a pain in the butt), but i don't imagine it'd be a problem to use with.

i bought this strap like 1 year ago when i got it i was amazed because it was such a beauty, but after a while , while i was playing, i was standing and the strap just came off, my guitar almost broke, and that still happens to me since then when i put that strap on my guitar. if u dont want to jump and get crazy while playing your guitar this isnt really the best one, but if you arent like that, is actually a really pretty strap

I have the Black and Grey, Skull & Bones strap. I have gone through many gigs with it and I find to be quite comfortable. The strap feels like it's made very well, and the ends wont come off during a show, believe me. Also, it comes with a cool little "pocket" where you can put an extra pick, which has helped me a few times!
