Good buy. Some of these companies think they are selling you a fifty-eight Les Paul.
Strap seems great, for the price. The holes are not the right size for Dunlop"s strap locks, but they fit the originals on my music man tight enough to get through the first gig night. Seems like decent, thick leather, and, the color was what I needed. Seems slightly short in the length department, if you are doing the James Page,at your knees, and six foot or better, wrong strap for you. Not bad.
Nice leather.
I don't buy straps you have to sell your car to buy. Great value for the money. Not a hundred dollar strap, but it will work.

Comments about Planet Waves Traditional Leather Guitar Strap:
This guitar strap met two necessary purposes: my musician sister liking it and being of quality make for my artistic alterations. My sister is fairly new to the guitar world and just upgraded to an acoustic/electric with an amp (also from musiciansfriend!) and asked me, an artist and small business owner, to make her a one of a kind strap. I had difficulty coming across quality leather for an affordable price so decided to try a premade one to customize in her personal style. Not only is it easily adjustable and comfortable for her to wear for hours sitting and standing to play, but the leather is both soft and sturdy enough to handle my burning, painting, and riveting. We're both extremely pleased!

Comments about Planet Waves Traditional Leather Guitar Strap:
Comfortable strap that is stylish looking, and holds the instrument securely. The slots for the pins to go through are rigid enough to not wear out soon. For the price, you get a real deal with this strap.

Comments about Planet Waves Traditional Leather Guitar Strap:
I've seen fancier leather straps w/ softer, more supple leather. The problem lies therein w/ the price you'll pay for all that softening. This strap, at less than $20, was exactly what I was looking for. Since I use shoestring ties to attach the strap to the headstock & circular strap locks fastened on the bottom of my acoustic / electric guitars, I keep my straps attached all the time. I certainly don't expect any transporting problems or breakages w/ this strap - it is of very fine quality.

Comments about Planet Waves Traditional Leather Guitar Strap:
Terrible. Make it wider, with larger "slits."
For one, the "slits" are so small and tight that it was painfull to put on and take off of any of the guitars that I tried it on. No idea what strap "pin size" these slits were designed for, but certainly not for a standard strap pin on my Taylors, then Guilds, Martins, nor my Gibson Jumbo acoustic. It did not even slip onto my little Wechter "Nashville-strung" ... until I used a leather tool to make the slits larger!
Secondly, and worst of all, was once I managed to secure it to any of my acoustic guitars, stood up 'n played for awhile, the true deficiency in the design of this strap was obvious: it's too narrow! That muscle between my left shoulder and neck was in pain!
Do Not let your children play with this strap! And, adults, use at your own risk! Beware!
Comments about Planet Waves Traditional Leather Guitar Strap:
The strap looks nice. And for the price, it seems that you'll never go wrong. I plan to use this with my Gibson Acoustic Electric since all my electric guitars uses strap locks. Acoustic/Electric cannot use strap locks since one of the strap buttons is the input for the instrument cable. The hole on the rear end of this strap is not big enough to fit the button with the input. I would need to cut the leather to make the hole bigger and in doing so may sacrifice the quality of the strap. It might start ripping in that area. Bottomline is, I haven't used this strap as it does not fit. For electric guitas, this should be good. For A/E, better get a different one.
Leather @ $10. That's a great deal.
Comments about Planet Waves Traditional Leather Guitar Strap:
I like the strap a lot... very comfortable and sturdy... that said... I'd like it about 2-3" longer... it arrived on the longest setting, and is still too short.
the 2nd issue was the holes... I use strap locks (dunlop) religiously... I had to make the holes double their size for strap locks... they probably would have been very tight on regular strap buttons as well...
