This ia a high quality connector. I just needed an adapter to plug 1/4"phone plugs(guitar,mics) into a PA and this is perfect.

The 1/4" jack is stereo. This means that if you connect a mono cable to it, the XLR cable will only output on one of its two channels. Other than this technical restriction, it works fine.

I have used mine for about six months now and I don't know how I ever lived without it. It plugs in easy and it has never produced a crackle or static sound of any kind. It stores easily in the acc. Box of my guitar case so it's always there when I need it. If you ever play through a PA system, get one.
