An easy-to-setup acoustic treatment kit for recording studios under 100 square foot.
The Broadway London 8 room kit is designed for rooms up to 100 sq. ft. (9.3 sq m), or can be combined with other products to treat larger spaces. Ideally suited for home theaters and studios, these easy to use kits are an affordable way to start with acoustic treatment.
The London 8 contains select Broadway panels that tackle problems affecting any room, such as primary reflections, flutter echo, and standing waves. In addition to acoustic panels, each London 8 room kit includes the corresponding mounting hardware and instructions for easy installation.
Broadway panels are made from high-density 6lb per cubic foot fiberglass, offering nearly five times greater absorption than typical low cost foam alternatives. This means that you get more absorption with less panels, while assuring an even absorption curve throughout the frequency range. The London 8 room kit has 12 panels included.
The London 8 includes:
4 Control Columns (12" x 36") with beveled edges
8 Scatter Blocks (12" x 12") with suare edges
20 Surface Impalers for mounting the Control Columns and Scatter Blocks
Drywall anchors and screws included
- Complete recording studio in a box
- 12 panels included, for rooms up to 100sqft.
- High performance fabric covered acoustic panels
- Class-A fire rated-safe to use anywhere
- Live-end, dead-end (LEDE) room design

Comments about Primacoustic London 8 Room Kit:
Let me start by saying that I bought this product to help in treating a makeshift vocal booth that despite being very small in size presented numerous problems...all of the instructions/pictures that come with the kit seem to imply its best application is in rooms where mixing/playback or whatnot is happening. That said, the materials used for treatment aren't really any different between the two types of environments.
I had hoped that my booth would see improvement with just the kit, but at the end of the day I built 48 sq. ft. of bass traps using Owens Corning 703 (two inches thick) as well as added 24+ sq. ft. of Auralex, a couple of rugs and hung several moving blankets from my previous DIY measures to control the flutter echoes before I got where I wanted the room to be, despite it only being less than a third the size of the room the London 8 is recommended for...this shouldn't really have come as a surprise to me, but had I been thinking more clearly at the point of making this order, I certainly would have been much better off with a larger order of the Owens Corning instead as whatever process Primacoustic uses with the resin to harden the rock wool plus their adding a bevel and a perfect job of covering the insulation adds maybe 6 times the value of the insulation...if you're remotely handy and are putting the stuff in a room where it doesn't have to be furniture-grade beautiful, doing it yourself is probably the much better option.
I will say, the Primacoustic is wonderful to look at, and if you need a very finished look, it's great... but I shutter to think what that might mean in cost if you found your room needed larger and larger amounts of treatment.
