I bought this stand in exchange of the Musician's Gear A-Frame and it seems to be a tad sturdier as well as constructed better. I exchanged because the top pad stuck to the back of my poly finished Gitane Guitar. Well, this one does too, but I put a cover on the pad and it works great. BTW, no apparent odors on the stand I received.

If you can stand the smell!

This stand works like it should. It did smell quite bad when it arrived. Almost toxic but that does wear off.

Comments about ProLine A Frame Acoustic Guitar Stand:

I had a humes & berg unit of similar construction that I modified with a pvc yoke to make an inexpensive tuba stand. Works great. Made another one with this unit for a different sized tuba. Still works for the dreadnaught guitar on occasion.

The stand arrived very quickly. It is my first stand, and smaller than expected. But it works very well and I'm extremely pleased in every way!

Definitely reacts with nitrocellulose finishes and has a bad odor.
A different cushioning material would make this item better.
            Recommended, with caveats.

Comments about ProLine A Frame Acoustic Guitar Stand:

This stand works great although I did attach more padding to the stand where my guitar back touches it just because I felt it was needed.

                Toxic

                By

                from New York, NY

Comments about ProLine A Frame Acoustic Guitar Stand:

When the stand arrived I opened the box and it smelled completely toxic-- As if there was an oil spill in my room. I actually covered the offending rubber piece with some old socks because it was making my guitar smell toxic as well. I'd avoid this product... unless you don't mind a very toxic and possibly hazardous smell... then it's probably a fine stand.
