I use the acoustic version all the time, they are sturdy and portable. With electric guitars the output jack may conflict with the stand. I found this with a Les Paul copy I was playing this afternoon. For the benefit of all mankind I got out my other electric guitars with the jack on the side of the guitar. The (real) Les Paul Studio was OK. The jack on my Fender Jazz American Deluxe cleared the stand but was pretty low to he ground. It would be OK with an angled plug. On the Ric 360/12, the Ric-O-Sound jack was clear but the standard jack was resting on the stand. That was with the guitar standing straight up. It would work if the guitar was leaning slightly to one side. I got out my Ric 4003S. It only has the standard output jack, not the stereo output like most 4003's. If you have a "normal" 4003 you might have the same experience I had with the 360/12. With the Hofner (Icon) violin bass, it was sitting on the jack, and it was a snug fit on the stand.
This stand would also work well for banjo. Don't ask me how I know.

When I opened the box and first viewed the quality, I felt the stand was sturdy and well built; however, I quickly found that there are some design flaws. I have an Ibanez bass as well as an Ibanez RG series guitar. Neither one will fit in the stand correctly while having a plug in the jack. Also, on my bass the round pad at the top rests half on the neck and half off, where the neck meets the body. One wrong move and the guitar would knock over fairly easily. If you have a full-sized, strat-style guitar, which has the jack on the top of the body as opposed to the end, this stand may work well--otherwise, don't bother.

I needed a stand I could throw into my backpack that I take to every gig that has extra cables, extension cords, etc. It's just a regular Jansport backpack, and this fit in there perfectly. Also, very stable. Perfect for me

Comments about ProLine FS100E Folding Electric Guitar Stand:
I purchesed this and the Fender stand to see which I liked best. The FS100E is slightly larget then the Fender Compact Guitar stand but it is more stable, better designed, holds the guitar more securly, easier to unfold and more protection against scratching the finish. Bottom line I purchased three additional FS100E to hold some of my Guitars.

Comments about ProLine FS100E Folding Electric Guitar Stand:
I was already using the acoustic guitar stand and was very satisfied with it. When I bought a Strat, I bought this stand for it. I like it for several reasons. I carry my small gear items in a tote bag, and both my stands fold very compactly and take up little room. Unfolded and in use they are very strong and stable.
Comments about ProLine FS100E Folding Electric Guitar Stand:
This stand holds all my guitars (Les Paul, Strat and Tele electrics, P and Jazz bass and the acoustic version holds my Ventura and Epiphone) just fine. Stable, compact and portable.
Comments about ProLine FS100E Folding Electric Guitar Stand:
Works with my Schecter Custom 4 bass and my Fender Jazz. My old Fender stand couldn't reliably hold my Jazz without me setting it down carefully to make sure it wouldn't fall over. It's not an issue anymore. There's enough friction from the foam to keep it held well.
Feature wise it should do three things, fold up neatly, unfold easily and quickly, and lastly hold my guitar(s). It does all of these.
Solid construction, nice foam padding, good joints where it pivots. Feels solid.
Inexpensive, good stand, not much to argue about.
