Glad that I ordered this. It's a good mic stand. A bit pricey, but it has the features I need.Have long wanted a desktop mic stand, but it has never been a priority. I write at my desk, and for years and years have just laid the mic on the desk to capture ideas. This mic stand has a small, heavy base to balance the 9" boom. The density of the base lets me extend the boom wherever I need it while saving the real estate on my desk for important stuff like post-its and erasers and ukulele chord dictionaries. The quality seems little low for such a high price. I'm no engineer, but the threads seem a little thin and brittle. I can see them breaking if not handled properly.

Decent stand, but the build quality is a bit disappointing in some areas.
Well, it has a nice heavy base, and a boom. Nothing too fancy, but it works.
Here is where my only complaint is. The area where the threads for the mic clip attach to the boom arm is a bit of a problem. It comes loose for whatever reason with some stands, and allows the clip to rotate freely. This of course means that when you put a microphone in it, the torque exerted by the microphone makes it impossible to aim the mic where you want it. This can be fixed by hammering in their contact points a little more with a hammer and a metal pin, but it's a crippling issue if you don't have those tools handy.

Solid desk stand

Comments about Proline MS112 Desk Boom Mic Stand:

Very solid adjustable desk boom. I dont have a desk that can use an arm, and this filled that gap for me, it has a pretty good sized footprint, so keep that in mind if you have a smaller workspace, but the weighted base is solid, and seems to be capable of even the heaviest mics.

I use this as my more portable stand when I want to record bit not carry around a larger stand. Well built, very optimal in most settings.

Saves a lot of space when micing up drums compared to a regular boom stand that we were using. Also, it booms deeper into the bass drum where you can get a better sound

The Blue Reactor microphone weighs a lot and is top-heavy
if it isn't dangled from the end of the boom. . This stand is
steady and strong enough to handle this heavy mic -- and also
the EV RE20 which is also heavy. . Recommended!!!

Comments about Proline MS112 Desk Boom Mic Stand:

I bought this mic stand because I needed something compact enough to fit on a small stage, yet beefy enough to hold a Beta 52. Sure enough, this stand works like a charm. I've had it for a couple weeks and have used it for about eight different bands and I have had no problems. The design works great for bass drum mics, but it's extremely versatile and I've also used it on guitar cabs. Great product, 10/10 would use.

Comments about Proline MS112 Desk Boom Mic Stand:

A good price. It fit the needed purpose of supporting the mic above the keyboard without having the base of the stand in the way. The rubber feet help isolate the mic from picking up unwanted noise through the stand itself. It is very adjustable and easy to use. Solid construction suggests durability. I will likely be getting a second on in the near future.

Comments about Proline MS112 Desk Boom Mic Stand:

Great alternative to space gobbling floor mic stands or spring loaded desk booms. I sit at my DAW doing voice over and production for commercials and video all day and was tired of how much space my mic stand took up. Plus I don't like the old school radio station style spring loaded booms. This is perfect. The base is quite heavy and easily balances which ever mic I"m using. (Sennhieser 416 or AKG 414)
