OVERVIEW

Angled stand supports 150lb amps with 5 height settings and a design that minimizes vibrations.

The Proline PL-AS adjustable amp stand is a rugged, all-steel stand designed to hold guitar amplifiers at the perfect height for stage use or in rehearsal or recording studios. A slight back-tilt aims your amp up toward your ears so that it can be heard clearly at lower volumes.

With 5 height settings from 16" to 24", the PL-AS amp stand also minimizes vibrations passed through wooden stages and floors, extending your amp's life. Cam-shaped leveling feet help to stabilize the ProLine amp stand on uneven floors and provide a non-slip grip.

Locking leg braces and safety pins for the upper supports give this amplifier stand the strength to safely hold up to 150lb. Finally, the upper amp supports have rubber pads to protect your amplifier's covering and to minimize vibrations.

When you're done, the entire amp stand breaks down into 3 pieces. The upper supports are hinged to collapse for easy transport. The ProLine PL-AS Adjustable Amp Stand's durable powder coat finish ensures that its looks stay good for years to come.

I searched a long time before deciding on this amp stand and I am glad I did. I play guitar through a Vox Valvetronix AD 120 which is about the size of a Fender Twin or AC 30. I was concerned that an amp stand would be strong enough to support my amp and not wobble or be top heavy. This stand is the perfect fit for my rig.
Most stands I saw online looked weak and would not hold much weight. My Vox is a two 12 model and though it is a solid state/tube hybrid, it still weighs about 80 pounds and few stands I saw would support it.
The tilt angle is ideal and the support arms are tall enough to hold the back of my amp securely. The height of the stand is adjustable and I have mine adjusted to the maximum height with no wobble issues. It folds up fast and is easy to transport.
I highly recommend this stand for guitarist who use heavy combo amps. It will hold a Fender Twin Reverb and any amp of this type with no issues, not to mention the fact how much better you can hear yourself when your amp is off the floor and shooting at your head and not your knees.

Not bad, but the stand cannot be extended past its lowest setting for fear of toppling. If you use a relatively heavy tube amp (I currently have a Rivera Clubster Royale on mine), its center of gravity is too far forward, causing it to be unstable and easy to topple. I suspect with a solid state amplifier, the lesser weight would make it more stable. At the lowest setting, it seems secure enough for studio work, but I still wouldn't trust it live for fear of knocking your amp over.

Considering its unstable nature, I would have expected a more compact folding design as well. When I saw that it did not fold conveniently, I foolishly thought that meant it was designed for stability over convenience. Unfortunately, it's neither convenient nor stable.

HOWEVER, for the price, it makes a nice home rehearsal stand.

Comments about ProLine PL7000 Adjustable Amp Stand:

My biggest concern with this product was the stability, but that was before I had received it. Once I received the stand I noticed how secure it was. This stand will definitely tip over, but only if you force it to. You can bump into it lightly or tap it and it won't sway. It was easy to assemble and my amp fit like glove. I use my stand for my Marshall DSL 40C, but I have seen pictures of slightly bigger amps being used with this stand. Don't give this product a second thought and purchase it! Enjoy!

Comments about ProLine PL7000 Adjustable Amp Stand:

I was impressed with this stand. Its hard to find well built stuff anymore. This is built very very good. The only change I would suggest would being able to hinge the top back bracket so it would fold up to be more compact. Still a very good stand.

Comments about ProLine PL7000 Adjustable Amp Stand:

I've had the Musicians Gear Deluxe amp stand for many years, but thought it was a little iffy for my monster sized Ampeg ReverbRocket R212 twin twelve. I decided to step up to this model. Beefier and I much prefer the angle the amp sits at.
The Musicians Gear stand has the amp tilted at too extreme an angle for my taste. The amp is pointed kind of at the ceiling.
I put my Ampeg BassRocket amp on that stand, but I like the PL7000 so much I will be buying another for my bass amp.
I also have an SWR Basic Black, which is big. I would trust the PL7000 to hold it securely.
I have it set at the lowest height, which works perfect for me. It does look like it might get tippy if set higher.

Comments about ProLine PL7000 Adjustable Amp Stand:

I needed a stand for "The Beast" -- my 1976 Fender "Silverface" Twin Reverb amp. These amps are always heavy, but mine is more so due to its having very heavy Celestion G12H-100s speakers with their huge ceramic magnets.

The PL7000, which goes together quickly with just two screw clamps and secondary "pins" for added assurance, is completely stable and secure with the amp.

Another nice feature is that the rubber "feet" are designed as cams. That allows for compensation if the floor is at all uneven, keeping the stand and amp stable even under those less than ideal circumstances.

I could not be more pleased with this stand. Good value for the money, too!

Comments about ProLine PL7000 Adjustable Amp Stand:

I compared several of this type amp stand with the
hinged back. I noticed that the vertical hinged
part will eventually loosen with use and the amp
won't set quite as stable as it should. The other stands I looked at had slip pins holdings the top
part together, while the Proline had knobs which
had to be screwed in. The slideing pins seemed like
they would be quicker and easier to use than the
screw in type. Overall it is a pretty good stand.

Comments about ProLine PL7000 Adjustable Amp Stand:

This amp stand is very well built, and like other ProLine items, the quality is very good.

My only complaint is when the stand is at its highest setting, and my 150W combo amp is on it, it feels as if its about to face plant. DidntDidn't seem sturdy at all..Obviously, the lower you adjust the support rails, the more stable it becomes. So, if you like your amp at the max height of this unit, maybe look around for something a little more sturdy.

Other than that, its a good stand.

Comments about ProLine PL7000 Adjustable Amp Stand:

Stands works well supporting a Carvin acoustic amp and Fender Hot Rod deluxe. I would think a full size 2x12 combo would be fine as well. Because of the tilt and the way amps sit on the stand, the included padding isn't very useful. I bought a roll of black weather stripping and ran padding the full length of each support.
