It's a solid, space saving "luxury" item. Just watch your volume knobs.
I'm a firm believer in doing research on any "luxury" item I buy. For me, an expensive guitar stand is said "luxury". I purchased one 3 1/2 years ago. I neverI read any "cons" prior to my purchase. This stand is solid as a rock. I've moved it a dozen times from room to room fully loaded with my guitars. Yes, picking it up and moving everything at once. The foam is still intact, the screws are tight as the day I assembled it and even though I smoke in my home studio, the rack hasn't yellowed.

That being said, the only problem I've had is with the individual spacing between guitars. I bought this to conserve space and be able to grab the guitar/bass that I need ASAP so I do not loose my inspiration. I spin my chair to the left and I'm there. For that, it's worked out GREAT! In the process of playing "musical chairs" with my axes, all of my volume pots have been bashed to the point of replacement. It's a tight squeeze, so, something's gonna get bumped around.

If I weren't swapping my guitars constantly or just used this rack as a nice display to impress my friends, it'd be a 10! I understand that my guitars are simply tools of my craft and I don't cry if they get scratched or if I have to replace a knob. All tools require maintainence, plus, I don't have the "luxury" of slowing down. Bottom line is, this guitar rack is sturdy as hell, saves space and convenient... but, hard on the volume knobs..
Foam is still intact after 3 1/2 years. I can pick it up and carry it around loaded with 5 guitars.
Everything could be cheaper.

I bought this 5 guitar stand to replace an old 3 guitar version, where foam had deteriorated and because I wanted room for another guitar.
On unpacking I noticed that metal frame was less substantial than original and whole thing seemed cheaper. On putting together I ended up stripping a couple of hex threads and hinges needed some bending to align properly.
When I placed guitars on stand I was shocked to find whole thing very unstable, guitars sat almost vertical and did not lean back to stabilize. Comparing old and new stand it became obvious that spacing between bottom foam supports had decreased.
Inadequate spacing of bottom supports is a fundamental design problem and implies designer did not properly test.
Disappointed, I ordered a similar stand hoping it may be more stable and so ended up with both Warwick Rockstand version and ProLine version. Guess what, they were both exactly the same! I am guessing same company makes both and they are just branded with different stickers. What you see in photo and what you get are not the same.
To make stand usable I moved bottom foam support back about 30mm, so foam touched hinge, by drilling two pairs of new holes. Ideally front foam support would move forward a little too, but drilling through steel wrecked my drill bits.
In short, only buy if you have time and patience to modify. You may be better off getting Hercules version, which is a lot bigger but looks more substantial.

Comments about ProLine PLMS5 5-Guitar Folding Stand:

I got this stand to replace all the individual stands when I needed more space.
It went together quickly with the tools provided. Some reviewers said the screws stripped. I guess they were very heavy handed. They just need to be snugged down to be secure. I don't plan on taking this "on the road" so as far as that goes I can't say. It does however work just fine for holding five electric guitars stable and secure without taking up too much space.

Comments about ProLine PLMS5 5-Guitar Folding Stand:

The stand isn't that solid. The foldable design means the back wobbles around a bit. When everything is set up it's fine, but impossible to move with guitars still on it. That said, the rack does hold the instruments fairly well, if you take the time to make sure they are properly placed on the stand. Cushioning on the bumpers feels pretty good. More than one acoustic guitar would probably not fit on this. I have an acoustic, an electric bass, and two electric guitars on mine and I don't think there'd be room for a fourth. I stripped a screw while building it as the stand is held together using screws with a wood screw type threading.

All-in-all, it does what's advertised for a decent price point, but I can't imagine it holding up for the road.

Comments about ProLine PLMS5 5-Guitar Folding Stand:

I purchased this to replace the horrible Warwick rock stand I ordered previously. It's EXACTLY the same, just with a different sticker. Here's how I feel about both stands.

I was able to compare this stand back to back with a friend's stand. This stand is awful! The slot bar that holds the guitars at the neck is almost 90degrees which does not allow for a sturdy lean for your instruments. The two bars at the base where the body of your instruments sit is too narrow, again not allowing for a sturdy resting position. The slots are about an inch too narrow, so if you have a few acoustic guitars, forget it...they bump into each other and are difficult grab easily. The construction is awful, none of the screw holes are threaded. It's basically an arrangement of flimsy pipe tubing wrapped in foam and held together with tin screws.

This is a poor product and I don't trust it with my guitars.

I have two 5-guitar stands and one 7. They are in my home studio and work fine for what they are. I wouldn't recommend them for traveling gigs. There are better stands out there but cost a lot more. I haven't had any issues with mine.

Comments about ProLine PLMS5 5-Guitar Folding Stand:

This will not hold your guitars without them hitting each other. Putting them on is a balancing act at best. Once you get them in and balanced, you will end up knocking at least one of the adjacent guitars around.

It will not accommodate a typical acoustic guitar if there is another guitar in the next slot. This product is not even suitable for light home use. Screws into bottom rails do not line up with entry points, and strip when hand-tightening.

                It's already packed for return.

I've bought these stands in the past with success, but lately the quality has been going downhill. The design is lacking; guitars stand a little too vertical for comfort. However, for the money it will still do the trick.

I got this rack as a birthday gift and I could not be more dissatisfied . As stated in my title, I was shocked at the poor quality of this stand. Upon completion of assembly, stand wobbles and is not sturdy at all. When I tried to place a guitar in the stand, the guitar sits upright, not tilted back like other stands. This is an accident waiting to happen and I would not trust it with my beloved guitars for one second. If you want a multiple guitar rack, look elsewhere!
