These are the real-deal. Superior/rock solid stability excellent for outdor venues requiring no-joke support (got a little wind on that outdor stage maybe? or really active - maybe slightly inebriated happy people milling about your rig? these will hold their own). Mine hold up under the weight and never sway. The carry bag is tough too, I actually keep a couple of mike stands in adition to the speaker stands in mine - no problem! Overall: high quality, pro-grade gear road & stage worthy...get yourself a couple!

My second review of this item, it seems my first review somehow did not get posted...hmmmm.

The reviews on these stands are in general, quite positive... that's why I bought this item, taking a chance that this maybe was just a good quality item at a budget price. Th reality I found was that the reviews are VERY misleading.

These are low quality stands at a low price and while they LOOK ok they are poorly designed. The reality is you get what you pay for and you simply can't buy a pair of real quality stands with a bag at this price point, it's just a fact. My advice is bite the bullet, spend 2-3x more and buy a good brand from Musicians Friend that will do what it's supposed to and not have you worrying if it's going to fall over or break on the 4'th gig.

The poles and legs are adequate, light gauge steel but the plastic clamp that holds the top of the legs is VERY weak, this is the problem. It is supposed to clamp around the main pole via a plastic knob & screw but when tightened as tight as she'd go I could slide the clamp up & down the pole with only moderate hand pressure!!

That's simply not acceptable folks! The leg clamp needs to bite and hold securely...period and it doesn't.
The other issue is tightening that knob so tight WILL most certainly break the flimsy clamp in short order. Once that happens the stands are trash.

I returned them the very next day to purchase a pair of Ultimate TS99BL + bag for more than 3X the cost but they were well worth it, solid as a rock with rugged aluminum clamps!

I will give top marks to MF, they issued full credit on the return without issue and sent a prepaid return label to boot, thank you Musicians Friend.

I bought another set of these that worked just like they were supposed to, so I ordered another set and they are the same, work just like they are supposed to. I'm using them with Yamaha 15 inch Speakers and I haven't had any problems at all with either set.

Comments about ProLine PLSP1 Speaker Stand Set with Bag:

These stands are heavy duty. More than I expected. I bought them because they had a higher weight capacity than others I saw. The speakers I will be using weigh 80 lbs, so I wanted stands up to the job. These will do the trick for sure. Smooth sliding legs, locking pins for height and a decent bag for packing them up in.

I have a 100 amp Kustom PA and bought these to hold the small speakers. These stands are perfect. The Kustom speakers fit snuggly on the stands.

Set them up in home studio. Stable and stands feel solid. Locking pins add an extra level of strength/support. Haven't used them for live performances but my impression is they'll stand up to the task. Carry bag and divider will preserve their appearance.

Comments about ProLine PLSP1 Speaker Stand Set with Bag:

They are as good as they look! Will carry more weight than other stands that are twice the price. The carry bag is good too. A zip that extends the length of the bag so that the stands can easily be placed inside and not slid in from the top, scratching them in the process. And a good feature is there is a centre division in the bag so that the stands won't rub against each other in transport.
