These Praline Speaker Stands far exceeded my expectations. I use them with a pair of Mackie SRM450 cabinets and they certainly are more than capable of handling the weight (55lb/ea). Though these units are at the lower end of the price range for these types of stands , after working with them, I can assure you that these are very rugged units, with solid joints and impressive structural integrity (while still very light). There is also an attached pin that inserts through the main pole just in case too much weight or vibration causes the height to slip (this has never happened in my experience, but this safety feature is appreciated). The stands have 1 3/8" poles which fit the Mackie?s directly, but they have also included inserts that adapt these stands to speakers with 1 1/2" mounting holes. Highly recommended
