I got this set with a Pulse Pro kit I bought and they have served me fine. I have played on the nicer brands and they DO in fact feel nicer. The light weight makes them feel flimsy but I have yet to damage one a year later. The boom has fallen over a few times but that has a lot to do with the extension and the size of your ride. It is easy to adjust the extension and balance the weight even for a hard hitter the boom tipping should be rare. The straight works fine, no problems with it at all, same for the snare stand, it has stood up for a beating and held firm.A lot of people complain of the hi-hat bolts slipping off. Yes, they do, constantly... That doesn't make the stand bad, it works fine. Spend 8 bucks on a rubber sealed hi-hat bolt set, simple fix and the stand still works great. The pedal is pretty cheap, I have used it for a year and it holds together but the springs have given a lot. Upgrade your pedal soon and you should be fine.Overall the stand set is fine and the price is beautiful. My theory, stick with cheaper stands so I can drop that extra cash on better pedals, cymbals, and heads.

I got this hardware set when I got my Pulse drum set. Ive owned this kit for about a year now, and there are a couple problems with this set. The boom cymbal stad falls over all the time and I'm not a hard hitter. The hi-hat stand is also a piece of junk. No matter how tightly I tighten it, it still gets loose. The snare and straight cymabl stand have held up fairly well so far. Like I said its is still useable after a year, but it was made cheeply and thats what your gonna get from it. Good beginer st, but I would have to say go buy the better quality set.

Good enough...

Like many others, I got this set with a pulse drum kit. There's nothing special about it, but it works. The high-hat stand was total crap, and the pedal wasn't much better (both have since been replaced). The rest works good enough, but I'd still like to upgrade. All in all, it's a good beginner set. It'll work until I can afford better.

Great Hardware

By Anonymous

I've had this hardware with my starter pulse kit which was 9 years ago. I went along with the larger double braced stands, but as my drumming technique got better I went back to the smaller, lighter, pulse stands because I can position them closer and more space on stage and easier to carry.

i got this hardware pack with my pulse 5 piece lacquer finish set. i was very pleased with the drums, but the hardware sucks a**. the boom stand is the most wobbly of the all, the legs aren't big enough. the high hat stand broke on me after a couple weeks, now i can'topen up my hats without the top hat falling down. the only thing worth using is the straight and snare stand. every thing else is a true definition of ****!!!!!!!!!!

This hardware pack has solid equipment and is good for its money. The only problem is the boom stand is frustrating to play with. It wobbles alot and if you hit the cymbal on the boom stand more than once (if you hit hard) it may even fall over. This is good but don't rely on the boom cymbal.

I bought this set up because i needed to get my drum set some hardware, and keep food on the table. If I had the option of spending more money on my kit I would have never got this, but for what it is, it works. hi hat stand isnt very strong, boom is ok, straight is ok, snare stand works great, and the pedal is "eh"

simply average

By Anonymous

To start, the cymbal stands aren't very durable, and if you hit hard like I do, you'll be watching your stands sway every time you hit them. They haven't fallen over on me yet, but every time I play my cymbals, the stands either move around or tilt. The snare stand is good, the bass pedal is good. The hi-hat stand is horrible. It broke within the first month. But, overall, if you're a beginner and don't play very hard, get this pack. Otherwise, if you're really into drums, and hit hard, don't buy these stands.

Absolute garbage.

A true example of the saying " You get what you pay for." The part where the cymbal sits is too short, thus making the cymbal bang against the stand when the cymbal is hit. They are good for splashes and such, as long as you use about 3 or 4 felt washers.

Pleased with the product!

By Richie Rich

I've been playing drums for forty years and I'm at the point where I need something on the light side to carry. I like the style and the quality is good, but most of all the lightness of these sturdy stands is a plus.

I own this pulse hardware and have used it right next to the pdp hardware and the two are almost identical the pdp looks a little better and is slightly sturdier but for the $ there isn't a better deal hihat stand is good cymbal stand are alright the snare stand and bass pedal rock! all in all i am very happy with my pulse hardware cause now i still have money left for brew.

First thought...this hardware pack is very inexpensive, a FRACTION of the cost of name brand sets. This hardware will do well for me for home recording and occasional gigs. But it is quite lightweight, and I suspect the adjustors in the stands will not take well to overtightening and abuse. The kick pedal has what I consider a design flaw...tightening the springs can result in the adjustment rods protruding beyond the bottom of the pedal. I did not need to tighten the springs to that point, but someone with a heavier foot might. The Hi-Hat seems a bit lightweight as well and does not feel like it would take to long term heavy stomping. Certainly not a bad value, I will keep and use the hardware, but I would spend a few more $ if I needed something more rugged..

Pulse Hardware Pack

By saxamaphone729

I ordered these in a hope to save money and get some good hardware, which I was able to actually get good hardware and save money. This hardware is better than average. I read some of the reviews and was sketchy, but overall, it was a great investment.I do not use the bass drum pedal, but other than that, everything is really nice. My only complaint is that the boom arm is kinda iffy. If you don't set it up right, it'll topple over, but it definitely does the job when set up correctly.I love this hardware pack, and I'm glad I bought it.

Great value on a budget

By Surfs With an Alien

from Michigan

I bought this hardware pack to complete a small jazz kit I recently built. These stands are probably the lightest stands that I have ever come in contact with, but pretty well made. But they are on the flimsy side. Which is fine for a home/practice kit. I'm using a 13" hi-hat, a 16" crash and a medium 20" ride and they're the largest cymbals I would recommend hanging off of these stands. Make sure you position the tripod on the boom stand so that it is aligned with boom arm.You get what you pay for and this hardware pack is definitely a great value at $99.00. Perfect for a beginner!

I got his hardware on the run 5 years ago....it just this year the H-Hat stand gave out. This stand its fine if you use a drum rug. The boom stand its easy to pull apart and modify it, and if you like to experiment, you will find a way to get it to work fine without falling...all I did was take of the legs and but it with a 3 tom holder stand with my toms and it works fine, plus you can use that extra money to better your drums.**So after 5 years all I have change was the pedal and the H-Hat stand.
