I got this set with a Pulse Pro kit I bought and they have served me fine. I have played on the nicer brands and they DO in fact feel nicer. The light weight makes them feel flimsy but I have yet to damage one a year later. The boom has fallen over a few times but that has a lot to do with the extension and the size of your ride. It is easy to adjust the extension and balance the weight even for a hard hitter the boom tipping should be rare. The straight works fine, no problems with it at all, same for the snare stand, it has stood up for a beating and held firm.A lot of people complain of the hi-hat bolts slipping off. Yes, they do, constantly... That doesn't make the stand bad, it works fine. Spend 8 bucks on a rubber sealed hi-hat bolt set, simple fix and the stand still works great. The pedal is pretty cheap, I have used it for a year and it holds together but the springs have given a lot. Upgrade your pedal soon and you should be fine.Overall the stand set is fine and the price is beautiful. My theory, stick with cheaper stands so I can drop that extra cash on better pedals, cymbals, and heads.

I got this hardware set when I got my Pulse drum set. Ive owned this kit for about a year now, and there are a couple problems with this set. The boom cymbal stad falls over all the time and I'm not a hard hitter. The hi-hat stand is also a piece of junk. No matter how tightly I tighten it, it still gets loose. The snare and straight cymabl stand have held up fairly well so far. Like I said its is still useable after a year, but it was made cheeply and thats what your gonna get from it. Good beginer st, but I would have to say go buy the better quality set.

This hardware pack has solid equipment and is good for its money. The only problem is the boom stand is frustrating to play with. It wobbles alot and if you hit the cymbal on the boom stand more than once (if you hit hard) it may even fall over. This is good but don't rely on the boom cymbal.

Great value on a budget

By Surfs With an Alien

I bought this hardware pack to complete a small jazz kit I recently built. These stands are probably the lightest stands that I have ever come in contact with, but pretty well made. But they are on the flimsy side. Which is fine for a home/practice kit. I'm using a 13" hi-hat, a 16" crash and a medium 20" ride and they're the largest cymbals I would recommend hanging off of these stands. Make sure you position the tripod on the boom stand so that it is aligned with boom arm.You get what you pay for and this hardware pack is definitely a great value at $99.00. Perfect for a beginner!

Pulse Hardware Pack

I ordered these in a hope to save money and get some good hardware, which I was able to actually get good hardware and save money. This hardware is better than average. I read some of the reviews and was sketchy, but overall, it was a great investment.I do not use the bass drum pedal, but other than that, everything is really nice. My only complaint is that the boom arm is kinda iffy. If you don't set it up right, it'll topple over, but it definitely does the job when set up correctly.I love this hardware pack, and I'm glad I bought it.

Latin Jazz/ Rock drummer

I got his hardware on the run 5 years ago....it just this year the H-Hat stand gave out. This stand its fine if you use a drum rug. The boom stand its easy to pull apart and modify it, and if you like to experiment, you will find a way to get it to work fine without falling...all I did was take of the legs and but it with a 3 tom holder stand with my toms and it works fine, plus you can use that extra money to better your drums.**So after 5 years all I have change was the pedal and the H-Hat stand.

Great Hardware

I've had this hardware with my starter pulse kit which was 9 years ago. I went along with the larger double braced stands, but as my drumming technique got better I went back to the smaller, lighter, pulse stands because I can position them closer and more space on stage and easier to carry.

First thought...this hardware pack is very inexpensive, a FRACTION of the cost of name brand sets. This hardware will do well for me for home recording and occasional gigs. But it is quite lightweight, and I suspect the adjustors in the stands will not take well to overtightening and abuse. The kick pedal has what I consider a design flaw...tightening the springs can result in the adjustment rods protruding beyond the bottom of the pedal. I did not need to tighten the springs to that point, but someone with a heavier foot might. The Hi-Hat seems a bit lightweight as well and does not feel like it would take to long term heavy stomping. Certainly not a bad value, I will keep and use the hardware, but I would spend a few more $ if I needed something more rugged..

when you are in a bind

By tony montana

I bought this set up because i needed to get my drum set some hardware, and keep food on the table. If I had the option of spending more money on my kit I would have never got this, but for what it is, it works. hi hat stand isnt very strong, boom is ok, straight is ok, snare stand works great, and the pedal is "eh"

Good enough...

By Gary B.

from Colchester, CT

Like many others, I got this set with a pulse drum kit. There's nothing special about it, but it works. The high-hat stand was total crap, and the pedal wasn't much better (both have since been replaced). The rest works good enough, but I'd still like to upgrade. All in all, it's a good beginner set. It'll work until I can afford better.
