If you are a drummer that has to have 'the best there is' then you probably won't be happy
with these pedals since you've already made up your mind, however if you know what you
are doing and you are on a budget you can adjust these pedals so that they'll give you
fine service . . you won't be sorry.
I picked up a set of these Pulse double pedals . . and after reading the many negative remarks
about them . . I was amazed at how good the work, how solidly they are made . . I was able
to EASILY adjust the spring tension, pedal arc and weights on the beater shafts . . such that
I know there are far more costly pedals out there . . but these are wonderful, I can make them
go as fast as anything I've seen or heard . . If you have to have the best there is and you are
made of dollars . . well then you have already made up your mind that these pedals arn't going
to work for you. . . However if you are on a tight budget (and know how to adjust pedals) or a beginner with some
'mechanical' ability you won't be sorry you picked up a set of these . . amaze your buddies with
your speed and then watch their jaws hit the floor when they see what you are using! LOL!
Best Regards . . the 'old' drummer.
Pulse double pedals for bass drum . . I could not identify any of the problems others have listed.these pedals work wonderfully for me. Very fast easy to adjust . . wide range of adjustability, good long drive shaft fits my setup easily and comfortably.
. . VERY well put together . .

I bought this pedal about 9 months ago because I wanted to start playing double bass. It was cheap, so I got it. IT IS HORRIBLE! DO NOT BUY THIS! There are much better pedals for the same price or even a little bit more. I cannot count the number of problems I've had with this pedal. I have spend countless hours fixing it because I don't have the money to buy a better one. The problems I have or had with this pedal:1. The springs broke.2. The beaters broke.3. The tension sucks.4. It squeaks like crazy.5. The beaters come loose very often.6. No customization.7. There was a big clicking noise for a while until I basically messed with it for about 10 hours trying to fix it.8. There is a lot of lag in the slave pedal9. The beaters wear out very quickly.10. The screws don't fit and come out often. There is a lot more that I can't remember.I was so stupid for wasting my money on this. Get a DW 5000 or a DW 9000 if you can afford it. Both are amazing pedals that will last you for ever. My drum teacher has had his DW 5000's for 10 years. I'm going to get some when I have the money.

dont buy unless you have a welder

By Mapexdude9

Ok... I got this pedal for my birthday and was exited because I wanted to play metal. At first the only complaint I had was that the left pedal was very unresponsive, but I didnt realy care because of the price. One week later, boom. The screws holding the pedals in place striped. In my dispare I took it to my metal shop class and just welded the beater to the pedal. Now its ok but it isnt worth the greif you'll get in the long run.

Pretty Good

By Freddie Adams

This double bass pedal is great. I've had it about a year now and its still like new, the only thing is if you get it get some double bass sticker/pads...the beaters that are on it kinda wear the head out but with double bass stickers thats fixed...you can ajust how far you want the pedal up or down and you can ajust the tesion. I say overall its a pretty good pedal for the price.

Bad Pedals

By drummer1117

from Hemet, Ca

I've had this pedal for not that long and the right pedal clicks so I had to pull both beaters so far that even when the beater bounces back from the bass drum it hits my shin and it still clicks even then. This pedal is real trash upgrade to PDP pedals.

not worth it

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

This pedal is bad. The right pedal lags, the left one even worse. For the money, you can't expect much, but pdp has a pedal thats just a little more, smooth as butter my friend has that one. You can adjust spring tension and it is very stable, two complete bottom plates and velcro on them, left pedal has a drum key holder. thats the best part haha. Spend the extra $ and go w/ the pdp pedal.

great petal. :)

By kid from down the street

from twiny falls id

I own this petal and have owned it for about maybe 2 or 3 years. Mine only has different beaters but its the same petal. Ive played on iron cobras before, they are crap in my opinion compared to these. This is smooth, its a little hard to get triplets and stuff down with this but its great for learning how to do them. I've played on a dw 5002 turbo chain and that is the only petal that has beat this one. My opinion: great petal, awesome price.

double bass

By jjdryer

from billings mt

I've had this pedal for 4 months and the thing that holds the left beater back has stripped where you twist that thing with your key the inside has stripped and now it doesn't work at all I'm trying to find another but I can't find one anywhere.

not bad

By Waldo-3ZCW_

from Gouverneur NY

IVe had these pedals for about 4 months now And the part that holds the left beater wiggles and kinda gives it a delay that I really do not like. When I first got it the left chain would rub against the metal but I fixed that. This pedal if great if you want to get used to the double bass work but after that and when you have the money get some axis or something worth it they will have much faster response

Great double pedal for beginners

By VicFirth1985

from PA

If you're new to the world of double bass, this pedal is a great start for you. I don't recommend it for those who are looking to be experts on the double bass. I got one to get my feet wet in double bass, but have now upgraded to a Iron Cobra. Great pedal for the price.

Okay... at first

By MasterDrummer

from corner of first and first

I bought this pedal about a year ago mainly for the great price. I have spent months trying to find heavier guage springs for it but still have not found them. Slow speed and response. Buy an Iron Cobra and save yourself the frustration.
