I have had great luck with Pulse hardware so I decided to give this a try. It is great! Very sturdy and heavy duty with very thick tubing. It is tension adjustable to a wide range of adjustments (with an easy to turn wheel). Also, the tripod legs swivel (via a drum key operated bolt) to allow placement of other stands or pedals to be made easier. I was also impressed with the drum key operated bolt to lock the bottom cymbal tilter in place. A VERY nice feature! The only possible down sides I can think of are: 1. The weight (it is very heavy, but do you want your hats on a wimpy stand?) and 2. The tripod legs don't spread out very wide, but this isn't a problem for me at all, and it stays very secure, even when I'm rockin'! This is a top quality hi-hat stand that is just as good as anything else out there now! Take it from a pro, you will NOT be disappointed!

This stand is built like a tank! Heavy, solid, tension adjustable, rotate-able legs, and a great feel. It has everything you could ever want! The one MAJOR negative thing about it for me (personally) is that it is SUPER bulky! Not only is it very heavy, but it doesn't fold up very compactly at all. It takes up A LOT of room in the hardware case. It worked like a charm, but I ended up replacing mine, solely on the basis of its weight and sheer bulkiness (thus only 5 stars overall). I got something much lighter and more compact (Pacific 700 series). If you don't care about the weight/bulk issue, then go for it! If you carry your own gear and/or are pretty tight on room in the hardware case already...then its weight and sheer bulk would have to be a MAJOR consideration before you purchase. I hope this helps you!

Pulse has made a very stable, heavy duty hi-hat stand. It stands up to every other "name brand" stand in the market. Very much worth every penny!
The Pulse Pro is a terrific value. It's sturdy, well made, operates smoothly, and has features found on higher priced models. Sure, you could pay more, but if you're looking for the most bang for the buck, this is your hi hat stand.
If your a new drummer looking for a new hihat stand (As I was) then look no further. This is the hihat stand for you. I got this baby at Christmas, along with the "Pulse Pro Double" kick and they both work hand in hand. Its easy to set up and take down. The foot pedal is nice, sturdy and comfortable. It's not a bad stand for the price too so get it while you can!
when i first got this i was amazed. it is very durable and the fact that the legs can be moved makes it great for double bass pedal users. it's very heavy duty and looks great. i have to give pulse it props because i've been buying a lot of their products, since i'm poor and stuff, and i have definitely not been disappointed with any of the things i have bought.
I bought this stand about one year ago and I am very pleased with my purchase. It has stood up to even the most brutal beating (I play hardcore/ grindcore so I hit REALLY hard) and for the money it cant be beat. If you are not worried about a "Name Brand" then this is a great buy for whoever is looking for a great stand for an unbeatable price.
This is an amazing buy, just like everything Pulse makes. This hi-hat stand has a very strong spring in it. But you can adjust the strength of it with simply a twist. It comes with a memory lock, which is great for setting up quickly. It also has a scrape-free tilter. The only thing that differs from the top quality models and this is that this has three legs, which some people prefer. This is a great deal!
I bought this stand six months ago and did not expect much because of the price. Boy was I wrong. I put a pair of Sabian AAX's on it and the sound is awesome. The features of this rival anything from Ludwig!
Just a superb stand. No reason to spend more on any other stand. Absolutely solid stand, good tensioning and the base swivels to accommodate dual pedal. Smooth action, again, no need to buy anything else more expensive than this.
I have had this stand for like 2-3 weeks now and I already love it. The rotating legs work awesome. It is very durable and easy to adjust. If u need a new hi-hat stand and are on a budget, get this as it is like the best stand I have ever used!!!
this hh stand is amazing for its price. My hh stand broke and i needed one quick. This is good for holding over, overall this is good for the price and the quality is amazing for the price.
Just got my new hat stand, and man..compared to the Mapex stands I looked at, this one far outweighs the competition. Great features, great stand. Try it...You'll love it.
I bought this stand acouple weeks ago and man was i surprised when i opened it up! It was reeally heavy duty very thick and a good 10 pounds! Set up was easy and it was awesome even no i have crapped cymbals it still was cool..didn't slip and was great 10 out of 10!
I had broken my spring adjustment on my Pearl hit-hat of 14 years, so I was looking for a good replacement at a good price. I was on the fence about this stand, the others stands I was considering were Pearl, dw and Pacific. But I went with this one. I wasn't expecting a whole lot out of this stand. I stand corrected. Heavy duty, easy to set and very responsive spring adjustment and has the swivel leg adjustment (for those of you with a double bass pedal, this is the stand for you). For the price you CAN'T BEAT IT. If you trying to decide which hit-hat stand to go with - stop wondering and pick up this one.
What a surprise! I'm shocked that this Hi-hat stand has gotten mediocre reviews because I have had ultimate success with it. Being in a touring band, I'm not one to cut corners when it comes to stands but I thought "I'll give it a shot." I'm glad I did!
I bought this hh stand because the one I had broke and I need one fast and I didn?t have enough money. When I receive the stand I was I amaze with the quality so this is a great hh stand not just for the money but for the quality it offer.
The best HH stand you can bye. I love it some much. It goes great for double bass pedal. It's a strong HH all right. U9 can play Rock, Alternative, Country, Jazz, etc. Cant beat it. Go pulse.
Took 2 seconds to set up, heavy (so you know it's sturdy). I got the legs to turn so I can accommodate my pulse d-pedals, it's like a match made in heaven. Another thumbs up for Pulse.
This stand is built well, and sets up easily. The only complaint I have about the stand is the spring... You have to set your top hat a little higher than normal, as the spring doesn't bounce the top hat up quite as high as it should. It does open and close fine, you just have to get used to it. If they put a little stiffer spring in this stand, it would be perfect. Just learn to work with it, and it'll provide you years of service! Excellent value!!
I found a gem of a deal with this stand. I heard about some of Pulse's hardware from another drummer, and he was right. This stand is heavy duty and sturdy. The action on it is also real nice. You can't beat the price, especially for the quality of this stand. It makes you wonder about the mark up on the big names. No mistake here this thing is for real. You won't be let down.
I think this is a good hi-hat stand for the price. adjustible spring tension, rotating leg assembly. Where else can you find a stand like that for this price
