I own 2 of these seats. I've had one for nearly 10 years and bought another about 3 years ago - not because the first one wore out - it's still in almost perfect condition - just broken in. Just bought one for my school instead of borrowing my personal one. Easy to set up, solid - I'm 6'3" and about 250lbs and have a 3 keyboard set-up with bass pedals - the seat never moves around or wobbles in any way. The only improvement I would make is the plastic plugs in the ends of the tubing - like so many plastic plugs in metal they will fall out - it doesn't affect the stand, but I finally put some epoxy on them and glued them in. Other than that I'm getting ready to by one more for my home piano. It's heavier than other seats, but you won't be disappointed.

I was a bit disappointed with this stool. Great idea, but the thing is really heavy, thus making it not that desirable for easy transport. Not easy to re-assemble, either if the two separate piece separate. There is a front and back involved in re-assembling it. You can't reverse front to back. Because of it's heavy welded construction, pieces lack flexibility and bind when trying t re-assemble.
The seat height adjustment levers bind and it's hard to get them to lock into position. You have to bang the thing to get the levers to lock. Takes quite a bit of pressure to get the levers to move. I'm thinking of using a little WD-40.
I thought about returning the thing but decided to keep it because it is a very nice stool. Maybe with use, it will loosen up a bit.
As an organist, I was looking for a stool that had provision to rest your left foot when not playing the pedal board. The cross member of this seat provides that although I wish the seat height levers were on the underside of the cross member to make it easier to position your left foot in the resting position..

Comments about Quik-Lok BZ-7 Musician's Stool:
I use this as my primary bench/seat when I need to switch from piano to/from organ. I sit between the two keyboards. Though the bench has a front & back, I really don't need to turn the bench around. I swing myself around & can comfortably play. I have the bench front facing the keyboard I will play the most during the session.

Comments about Quik-Lok BZ-7 Musician's Stool:
I bought this bench to complete my organ set up. Being a pretty big guy (+\- 230 lbs. ), I need something that can support me whiled playing bass pedals. This bench is very secure.
The height adjustments are easy and sensible. Some benches start way too low and never reach the ideal hight for an organist. I have this one at the exact hight of my wooden organ bench.
I would highly reccemend this bench as it is a fantastic product at an outstanding price!

Comments about Quik-Lok BZ-7 Musician's Stool:
With organ, like my Hammond XK-3 Traditional two manual setup with peddles, more height is needed than standard benches. This one is perfect. It is solid as a tank, which is great, but it is a bit heavy. Heavy in my case is good. Very compact unit when broken down for transport. Breaks down in seconds, still as a one piece unit. Slick design. It is fully adjustable so it can be set to many heights. I use it many times a week for hours at a time. Two thumbs up.

Comments about Quik-Lok BZ-7 Musician's Stool:
I ordered this knowing I needed a seat I could adjust more than a couple inches because I bought the Hammond xk3c organ and would need a little more height with the base pedals and able to be on the road. This seat is the perfect match for that and very comfortable and sturdy.
Comments about Quik-Lok BZ-7 Musician's Stool:
It's great.
Seat is nice and firm and is comfortable for long practices - performances.
Sturdy... solid.
If I needed another seat bench, this would be the one!
