Comments about Qwik Time QT-7 Quartz Metronome:
its quiet, annoying, hard to change tempo quickly, and worst of all...it doesn't keep time!! I never dropped it or abused it, but if for example you're playing at tempo 156, mine will magically switch tempo to 100 and throw the whole band off. it sucks.
Comments about Qwik Time QT-7 Quartz Metronome:
I've had this sturdy little unit for three years and have had no problems with it. Batteries last forever -- I've replaced mine once. It requires firm pressure to adjust the BPMs up and down. I like the little "reference ring" that correlates musical terms like "andante" or "allegro" to beats per minute. What can I say? It get the job done and is reasonably priced. There is one feature I don't care for -- the "click" associated with first beat of every measure is different (slightly higher pitch) than the other beats. I found myself using this as a crutch and wasn't keeping track of where I was when I got bored with practice. I'd prefer that this feature be switchable but it isn't.
Comments about Qwik Time QT-7 Quartz Metronome:
This metronome works fine, but I find it hard to use. It's very difficult to change the tempo, you have to press really hard on the arrow and hold to adjust. It also resets back to 100 after each use so each time you practice you have to reset it. For me, the old fashioned dial ones are better, and they stay set on the tempo you're currently working on, even after turning off the unit.
Comments about Qwik Time QT-7 Quartz Metronome:
I bought one of these a long time ago, and it worked very well, had no problems. But after only a year (surprise surprise, about one day after the warranty expires..) the thing goes out. Everytime I turn it on, regardless of what battery I use, the thing just emits a really loud, annoying, squeal. I'd say shell out the extra $ and get a Sabine, or something of better quality.
Comments about Qwik Time QT-7 Quartz Metronome:
depending, I guess, on what you will use this for, It seemed to lack features, volume control, and has the most annoying sound (when using headphones or recording a click track) with no way to shape or control the sound.
Comments about Qwik Time QT-7 Quartz Metronome:
The most annoying thing about this unit is the lack of volume control. While drumming, I can barely hear the click to keep along and end up losing time constantly. Other than that, it serves its purpose.
Comments about Qwik Time QT-7 Quartz Metronome:
This thing is cheap, and does its job. In my eyes, there is no need to spend any more than this on a metronome. just plug some headphones into them, and you're set.
