- Long Life
Comments about RC Strings ST30 Sonata Titanium Medium-High Tension Nylon Guitar Strings with Titanium Trebles:
It's true that these bass strings have longer life than the most of the strings on the market. However, the problem is that, even though they say that the set is of a medium-high tension, these strings feel too loose under the fingers, almost like a low tension. Because of this, the bass strings can be easily buzzed. Their winding is not of the top quality either, it tends to split at the bridge or in the nut area when you tune. The trebles don't have much volume nor sustain and are very slippery under the fingers due to their loose tension and a highly glassy surface. Their tone is more on the brighter side, but certainly not the best out there. Thus, my only positive experience with these strings was perhaps their longevity. Finally, considering all this, these strings are too overpriced for what they are and, with this price, there is no way they can compete with a much better quality strings such as, for instance, Saverez, New Cistal Corum.
