OVERVIEW

99% copper for extra warmth.

Acoustic warmth is the pinnacle of your acoustic guitar voice. Without it, your guitar will sound tinny and soulless. 80/20 bronze has 80% copper. Phosphor bronze strings contain 90% copper and because of this, has a warmer, more pleasing sound. At RED Brand Strings, they asked the question, what would 99% copper sound like. The result is RED Brand Strings, the first and only brand of copper-bronze acoustic guitar strings. With the highest copper content of any string brand, RED Brand gives acoustic guitars precise articulation, louder sound, greater projection and a warmer, richer tone.

Comments about Red Strings Copper Bronze 12-String Acoustic Guitar Strings Light:

I usually use 80/20 strings on my Seagull S12. I wanted to try something more warm and less tinny this time. For the price, these strings are poorly packaged. Inside the cardboard envelope is one plastic package with all 12 strings bundled together. They were very stiff and difficult to get apart. It took longer than usual to restring my guitar. When tuned to pitch, the 5th (lower G) string sounded very dull and it broke after 2 days. The other strings had very little ring to them. They might have sounded better with time but I never got the chance to find out. I ended up replacing them with Martin Lifespan SP MSP7600 Phosphor Bronze to get the warm yet slightly bright and crisp sound that I was looking for.

Comments about Red Strings Copper Bronze 12-String Acoustic Guitar Strings Light:

I tried these when they first came out. They sounded good, but the plain steel strings still had some rouge on them from the polishing process. I wasn't entirely pleased, so I switched to another brand for awhile. which were bright and chimey sounding. I thought I'd go back to Reds and the last set was very clean and perfect for my use. The packaging is color coded, and they put all the strings in one sealed plastic bag. They try to be "green" as possible. I like these, you won't be disappointed.
