I haven't had this bag long, but the quality is exceptional. It is a soft bag, but rather rigid in form on the outside. The materials are excellent. I like that they actually include enough dividers to make it useful as a single cymbal bag for a gig. The dividers in the main compartment are full size to the bag. They are padded dividers (padding sewn inside fabric), sewn into the bag (they do not move and can't lose them), and fit edge to edge. 5 large cymbals fit easily in this main compartment and none will touch.

The hi-hat pocket dividers are similar in construction to the mains, padding sewn inside fabric, but are removeable. They also fit edge to edge in the section. The good news is there are 2 padded dividers that come with it... your splash cymbal will thank you for this!

The outside has the backpack option hidden, use it if you need it, or hide it away if not. On the other side are an outside zip pocket, and also a flap pocket that snaps down.

It does not have a shoulder strap, but I have never trusted using them anyway. I am a handle guy, and this is the best and most comfortable handle that I have used. The handle is thickly padded and comfortable. It seems to be sturdy and looks like it will last quite a long time.

Overall, a well thought out and well constructed bag. I got this as a Daily Deal, way more bag and better quality for the money than any competitors at this price. If you prefer a soft bag and love your cymbals, this is the one. Looking forward to putting some miles on this!

I paid just under one hundred USD for this in one of the Stupid Deals offers, having gotten a little leery of the quality of my cheap cymbal bag (when would the bottom split and ruin my expensive cymbals). What struck me initially was how heavy the bag was all by itself, owing to the solid leather construction and extra padding. The side pocket was just barely big enough for my 15" hi hats, and I realize that I will have to put my 22" ride in last so it does not go to the bottom of the larger section of the case because it is rather difficult to extract when that happens. I wish that instead of the flaps on the back there was a large zippered pouch, like on my cheap bag, to store things like chimes. I doubt I will ever use it back-pack style as designed, so the strap and snap arrangement for that is a feature I do not consider a plus. That being said, I am absolutely confident it will provide better protection for my cymbals than my previous bag and serve me for a much longer time. Glad I bought it on sale.

fit my usual set up of hi hat ,splash, short crash, small china, ride and 18 inch rivet.I put the rivet cymbal in an old very thin Zildjian bag first then into the Renegade bag. Everything fit plus some extra sheet music.Great buy on SDOD.

Comments about Reunion Blues Renegade Series Cymbal Bag:

I, like many of the other reviews picked this bag up on sale. It's a high quality bag, and at that price I couldn't pass it up. I worry a little bit about bringing it out on rainy gigs, but I have other bags I can use if I think there's a chance of getting rained on (which has happened to me surprisingly often in the past few years).

I think the one non-5 star review is a bit odd. All of the complaints and issues they have are easily apparent from the pictures and descriptions. Mine came without the hihat separator, but I called the company and they sent it right out to me.

I personally like the shoulder straps. they make it so I can load in with three trips instead of four. It can also safely travel any of the cymbal configurations I take out with me for gigs. I think it's been one of my better purchases.

Stitching is great. Fit of material first rate. Dividers stay in place when loading and unloading. Hi Hat pocket a bit tight for 15" cymbals, but they do fit.

Built to hold up to some abuse and protect your cymbals

Comments about Reunion Blues Renegade Series Cymbal Bag:

I use this cymbal bag anytime I play out and using my kit. It can take some abuse and will protect your cymbals from some pretty hefty loading and unloading. My only complaint is it is a bit bulky and heavy so when you load your cymbals in it expect some weight and difficulty in carrying it. It has straps that allow you to carry it on your back like a back pack which helps once you get it in place.

There are a few pockets that are nice but if you get all your cymbals in it the pockets get compressed and are not of much use.
