The bottom line is this, stay away from it if you're thinking about taking out gigging. There's no way it will last more than a few months at that pace. But if you want it just to hold your guitars at home, I think its great. A little overpriced, but unforuntately there's not many cases like these out there. I wish there were more options.
I looked at this stand for a few weeks. It has pretty subpar reviews just about everywhere. But I bit the bullet and got it anyway. It "holds" seven guitars. I use the word holds very loosely.
This is the issue with this product. I bought it brand new. I opened up, and the latch that holds the lid to the case was broken. It was all warped and the screw was just laying in the case. I tried to screw it back in, but no luck. The latch is too warped. Also the dividers on this thing are pretty laughable. They are just pads that you stick where you want, to adjust for the width of a guitar. They "velcro" down, but they are hardly locked in place. You could probably move them just by taking a guitar out. I wouldnt even think twice about taking this out on the road. However if you're like me, and just want it strictly for home use, where it wont ever be folded down again, or moved - its PERFECT. It's not as sturdy as I would like, considering its holding about $5000 worth of guitars right now, but I think it'll be fine just as a rack for them.
If this thing was sturdier, I think it would be a great value. Unfortunately, given what it is, its not very good for the money. I would probably pay 3/4 of the price for it, and feel ok about it. But nothing more.

Not as sturdy as pictured or described, but not as bad as some of the reviews make it out to be. The problems are not design related as much as quality control related. Opened the flimsy and roughly treated (seemed more like a good while in a warehouse and not shipping damage) original Roadrunner (no overpack) box to see what looked like a nice sized flight case. It wasn't hard flight case quality, but it was OK for transport of something other than an instrument or amplifier. Inside was another story. The components were literally thrown loose into the case. One of the side pads was completely pulled off of the staples. One of the screws that holds the fold up arm in place was flying around the case and turned out to be completely stripped. The top rail did not align properly when put on the arms, so the pop-out pins would not come out to hold in place. Well, I think you get the idea. I ended up putting some time into it (restapling the pad, using a larger screw on the arm and routing the top rail holes a little to allow the pins to pop into place). I was afraid to return it and risk getting one just as bad or worse, so repairing was my best (and least invasive of my time getting the return processed, packed and shipped) option. MF made the situation right by me, so huge kudos to them. As far as design, it is pretty much as described. It will hold 7 guitars, but acoustics, semis and guitars with trem bars in place (especially Bigsby style) may not hold as many or in the same proximity to other guitars as standard solid bodies. The arms do wobble a little bit with a lot of guitars loaded as well. The bottom of the case is the part I don't like. The velcro pads do fine at keeping your divider lines in tact, but since there is no bottom rail system like on the non-flight case types of these the guitars just sit hard on the slightly padded case bottom. This is espacially problematic whith long strap buttons. The angle keeps them up a little, but you still need to be careful removing the instrument without it grabbing on the liner or case itself.

Comments about Road Runner 7 Guitar Stand Flightcase:
The first case that I got, the plastic end cap was broken when I opened it. My freind also bought one and one of his were broken as well. I returned it and the replacement isn't broken but the fit and finish is not great. Great idea but they need to put a little more care into the quality of the product.

I use this for travel and for home use mostly. It will hold 7 eltric easily but not 7 acoustic. it's a little flimsy but not bad. it's pretty solid but I feel like there has to be more solid guitar racks out there.

This stand will hold seven thin-body electrics easily/securely. I only have 5 acoustics of various sizes and the stand holds them cleanly.

Comments about Road Runner 7 Guitar Stand Flightcase:
I thought, oh what a great deal for what looks like a really sturdy product, definitly NOT the case! When it arrived the outside case was VERY nice, but upon opening it, it didnt look all that great the craftsmanship on the inside is horrible. It doesnt even function properly, we put in 3 electrics and one 12 string and it fell over!!! the piece snapped right off! These guitars are not even very heavy! It is a piece of junk and a HUGE hassle to return it! Stay away! Looks good on the outside, built Terrible on the inside!

Comments about Road Runner 7 Guitar Stand Flightcase:
This stand was very reasonably priced and holds my Basses as well as a few of one my Guitarist Guitars that set up on my side of the Stage. It came with several surface cracks, and I sent it back, which M/F made easy and hassle free, and the next one was fine. You do need a bit of room to set it up, but with it holding both my Guitarists Guitars and my Basses, it makes it convienent.

Comments about Road Runner 7 Guitar Stand Flightcase:
It does the trick. Currently holding 3 electrics (Tele, Strat, SG) and 3 acoustics (12-string Guild, j-45, Dean) i wish it had some lower base padding or some kind of locking mechanisms. It is currently in the corner of my studio but I am nervous that if it gets jostled or knocked all 6 guitars will face plant. I wish there was some kind of support guards or something of that nature to cushion the base or keep the guitar secured around the neck.
All in all it does the trick and didn't hurt the bank so if I end up finding a solution that offers more stable protection I wouldn't have buyers remorse.

Comments about Road Runner 7 Guitar Stand Flightcase:
Item serves it purpose. Bought as a rack but the case makes it look nicer plus you can use it on the road. Worth more than its price and its definitely value for money. Could fit 7 electric guitars but need to carefully place and position the guitars though to avoid bumping onto each other. Currently able to fit my 3 acoustic guitar and 2 electric guitars. The only bad point is that one of the rubber pads was a bit dented when it was opened from the package. That was the only downer on the item.
