Item serves it purpose. Bought as a rack but the case makes it look nicer plus you can use it on the road. Worth more than its price and its definitely value for money. Could fit 7 electric guitars but need to carefully place and position the guitars though to avoid bumping onto each other. Currently able to fit my 3 acoustic guitar and 2 electric guitars. The only bad point is that one of the rubber pads was a bit dented when it was opened from the package. That was the only downer on the item.

When assembled correctly, it is stable. Mine arrived with all the inside fold up side leg screws (2 Phillips in each of the 2 hinges, per leg) loose or half out. This was the same on both sides. These hinges hold the folding legs to the case and attach to the fold up legs. Legs are hollow square tubing. (There are 2 legs that fold up and you attach a top bar by sliding it on to the legs. That's what holds the guitar neck padded slots. Very simple, it has a push in tab and then snaps securely onto the fold up leg.

The hard part to repair was the top part of each hinge has a small bolt with a very small nut on its backside, inside the fold up leg. Have I lost you yet?

I had to carefully place the backing nut on a piece of tape wrapped around a half unfolded paper clip in order to carefully reach inside the square tubing, while holding a hinge, with a threaded bolt, hoping to get them to line up. I'm patient, but it took about 10 minutes to finally get it done.

Ok so it's secure now. I do like it. The old "Anvil" style outer case and latches seem road worthy enough if you were going to take if on the ah, er....road.

Mine will sit on a folding table and keep 7 guitars within easy reach. At the moment it's holding 2 Les Paul's, 2 PRS, 1 Strat, 1 Melody Maker, 1 Kramer w/bar. That's about 45-50 pounds of instruments. The case probably weighs in at 20-25 pounds. Table is not an issue, and the case feels solid with the guitars. They are leaned in at a good angle, and there are Velcro adjustable separator padded tubes for the bottom of the guitars. Adjustable for width as needed.

I give it 2 stars because of the quality control of the factory assembly issues. Since it will not leave my studio, I can only guess that it would be road worthy, but it does appear it will be.

I'd buy it again,(but I can't recommend it to a friend without a warning) but I'd be prepared to check over the fold up legs carefully. Had I not, I could have spilled a few costly guitars.

THANKS AGAIN MUSICIANS FRIEND!!!! LOVE IT

Comments about 7 Guitar Stand Flightcase:

Looks great and holds 6-7 guitars, acoustics, classicals and basses. I also have a normal stand nearby when I am tracking I can put down the instrument quickly without carefully wedging into this stand. This stand takes a delicate touch when removing guitars if you have it maxed out. I am not gigging with it but it holds ALL my guitars VERY neatly in my home studio. Looks great too and gave me a lot of floor space instead of using multiple stands. Keep a single stand around for tracking and you will be happy. Don't forget to lock the top to both sides of the case. It even worked without locking but this secures everything from swaying left to right.

Comments about Road Runner 7 Guitar Stand Flightcase:

FIRST IMMPRESSION - WILL REVISE Just got yesterday. Plastic end pieces meant to fit on metal bars were loose in case as they had fallen out. Stress points at the top bracket that holds the top cross bar are plastic and concerned about their durability. One of the two pads in the bottom that are "permanently" glued in already came off and I haven't even put a guitar in it yet. Bolts on front edge by the handle are not tight and must be tightened right away. (Not talking about the rivets). NO INSTRUCTIONS! Come on! It's fairly straight-forward to figure out, however, I think that is cutting corners. POSITIVES: Strong outer case and heavy. Great rounded corners and appears to be roadworthy. Other pads are adjustable to accommodate differing thickness of guitars. With brackets that hold the arms in place, appears to be stable, although the arms themselves seem a little vulnerable to breakage. Once again, may or may not revise the recommendation after I get to actually use it.

I've read reviews that said it was flimsy but then they figured out how to swing the brace and were fine. It's quick, easy, and safe for my axes. Mine came with a blemish but who cares the price was great! Love musicians friend!

The folding are are a bit flimsy, rocking back and forth, but won't collapse on you. Some of the pads had already fallen off before I even opened it, but should be an easy fix

Comments about Road Runner 7 Guitar Stand Flightcase:

I use this stand for practice and playing out. the case design is sturdy and easy to transport. Holds all my bass guitars including my acoustic bass without any problems. I would recommend this case/stand for anyone that has multiple guitars/bass. Would not be good for non-conventional shape guitars/bass.

Comments about Road Runner 7 Guitar Stand Flightcase:

I use this stand when I am playing out and at rehearsals. The stand holds my bass guiatrs firmly and provides plenty of space for each of the guiatrs. The spacers orivided at the bottom allow for thin body and acoustic body guitars. It would not be good for the special shaped body guitars such as the Flying V. The stand is sturdy and everything folds back into the case.

This is perfect for my home studio to save room versus individual stands. At first I thought it was pretty flimsy until a forum user pointed out the locks inside the lid. You have to search for them, but they are there and they work great. Very steady now and I trust it to hold my 'girls' safely. Great product at a great price. Well worth the money.

Recently purchased this case as a Christmas present for my young son who plays professionally. He was so excited and said 2 things I just loved. "Now I can take more than 2 guitars to my gigs." & "Now all my babies can rest together!" Let's just say it was a hit!
