Comments about Road Runner Banjo Bag:

Not at all flimsy and the zipper feels really smooth and strong. The foam feels firm, is nice and thick and the exterior fabric is slippery and sturdy feeling. The pocket is oddly shaped, but the zipper goes all the way around so things won't get lost in the bottom. My 12" pot fretless fits perfectly. Compares very well to the $200 bag I've used for many years. But...a color would have been nice. Black absorbs heat and is boring. I like red!

Comments about Road Runner Banjo Bag:

This is an awesome deal for the price!! I was skeptical about how protective it would be, but it was very well padded. I can sling it on my back and still have hands free to carry my amp etc... Professional quality all the way, and what a price

Comments about Road Runner Banjo Bag:

At 70% off retail this bag is outstanding! The padding is thick with a hard rubber pad on the bottom to protect against dings if you set it down too hard. The handle is thick and seems strudy enough for casual use (i.e. not touring). The sling strap is a bit thin, but seems okay (I rarely use a strap anyway). The pocket is okay for most smaller accessories too. The zippers look strong enough for most normal use. I'm sure there are people out there who will tear this up through brutal use, but I take care of my gear and expect this to last for many years.

I bought one for my open back banjo, and it was so well padded I bought a second for my resonator model. I thought it would be to thin for such a heavy banjo when I first ordered it, but it handles the resonator fine.

I would not use this - or any gigbag - for flying, or anywhere you have to let someone else handle your banjo when you are not around (who would use a gig bag for that anyway). I have already used it for a cross sountry trip, and it more than handled the constant use. I can't think of why I would pay 2-3 times as much for the same level of padding on other brands. I buy a gigbag for protection - not looks. Save the extra money to put towards your next banjo...

          Nice for the price

Comments about Road Runner Banjo Bag:

I needed a gig bag for a Dean Backwoods Six string banjo that I just bought used for a Dixieland gig (the 5-string wouldn't work). I was surprised how well padded it is. It's a bit tight around the resonator, but that will probably loosen up in time. Don't be afraid to give it a try. Paul Race - School of the RockI
