Worth It

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

I love these bags. They are great for the money. There is plenty of room for your RIMS mounts, but they aren't too loose either. I only use them for toms. I'd recomend something a little more heavy duty (like hard sides) for your snare and bass, but I love these for what they are. Get em.

Fine if you don't need hard shells

By Chooch

These bags are fine for the price. I tend to take good care of my drums and don't really need the hard shells. I've taken them on the road a lot of times, never a problem. And in response to the guy who had trouble putting his drums in them: Ever thought to put the bags ON the DRUMS instead? It's much easier.

Great for the money!

I know that these are not professional standards, but it is big step up from no bags at all; and cheap too! If you are the kind of person that is going to throw around your drums like a toy, obviously go with something harder reinforced. But for the musician that wants a deal and doesn't need bomb-proof cases, these are a great deal.

They're great!

No, these bags will not protect your drums from a fall. But if you careless enough to drop it then you should be looking for something tougher, or maybe hard shelled. But if you are looking for something that will protect your drums from scratches and going over bumps in cars and what not, then this is for you. I gig and jam about 30 miles from my house. I'm not on airplanes and traveling 100's of miles, so these work fine. I would definitely get some of these.

works well for me

these drum bags are good if you just tour around small places in your town. my band, Breaking the Barrier, just goes around playing at bars and restruants and these bags work great for me. I'm not a proffesional drummer so i don't need proffesional hardware. If you do what i do then these bags are perfect for the job

dont scratch my drums

I was disappointed as soon as I pulled them out of the box. The bags have little or no padding, the zippers are on the cheap side and they are difficult to put drums in. Without any padding to support the bag they just fall to the sides. Putting drums in these bags are like putting on pillow cases. I would not suggest the roadrunner bags or at least not these ones.

Don't let the information for this product fool you. There is very little or no padding. It is just a bag. They don't really prevent your drums from light falls or being scratched by other heavy objects because there is very little padding. They are pretty cheap bags, but it is really worth putting in an extra $50-$75 for bags with lots of padding.

Probably best for gigs around town

I bought the 5 piece fusion set for my Pacific CX kit. I didn't have any problems fitting the drums into the bags even with mounting brackets that stick out from the drums. The bags seem to be built of high quality material. The bags don't offer much if any padding on the inside of the cases. I wouldn't advise any serious gigging with these bags. They'd be great if you had the occasional local gig and transport to and from a practice space. I bought them myself to store my drums while I'm away at school.
