Comments about Road Runner Mandolin Bag:

This is the best gigbag for mandolins I've ever seen on the market. I have 5 mandolins, 2 A body archtops, 2 oval hole octaves, and one flatback Portugese style 10-string. I have different gigbags for all of them, the Roadrunner having been the most recent purchase for my Washburn archtop.

The Roadrunner has more paddling than Superior or Musicians Gear, both good products. The Roadrunner is made with the professional musician in mind who plays numerous outdoor gigs such as Renaissance Faires which require lugging instruments from venue to venue between sets. Hardshell cases are cumbersome and tiresome to carry under such situations. The Roadrunner protects my mandolin from accidental drops and bumps and the occasional object being dropped on it, although I don't recommend the last mentioned.

I also discovered that the Roadrunner has enough room to hold my Portugese style 10-string which has 3" sides and a longer headstock. I ooriginally got a Protec Alto Sax gigbag, because it was the only one that it would fit itand provided plenty of padding. I recently purchased a 2nd Roadrunner for my daughter's Portugese style mandolin which fit nicely.

This is a really good case for the Fender Mando Strat mandolin. I'm very pleased with the quality, too.

Comments about Road Runner Mandolin Bag:

I have a 1918 Gibson A model mandolin in the original case. The case provides some protection, but it is hard to keep it humidified in the winter because it is not close to airtight. I looked at a number of cases and even ordered one, but they never fit. This seems odd--that cases would not fit an iconic model--but others have noticed the problem as well. I didn't want to spend hundreds on a case, so I kept looking. Someone finally suggested that I could put the mandolin AND the case in a gig bag. This bag is just roomy enough to do that. It provides a very signfnicant level of extra protection and lets me use the original case. It is not completely airtight, but I don't have to check the humidity level every two days anymore. I am pretty happy with this bag.

Comments about Road Runner Mandolin Bag:

I bought this gig bag for festival shows because I don't want to mess up my Rigel's tweed case in the great outdoors. It is an excellent choice - provides good protection and room to store my cable.

              Better Than You Would Expect

Comments about Road Runner Mandolin Bag:

Absolutely couldn't ask for a better bag for the money. Nothing to complain about. Everything is sturdier than you would expect and made with heavier materials than you would think for this price.

Even though there is ample padding, this is a soft bag. So, it won't keep your tuning pegs from being tweaked if knocked about too much, and you can't pile stuff on top of it. But, if you need some basic protection, durable straps, and a generous-sized pocket, this'll do it.

Comments about Road Runner Mandolin Bag:

It's a good-looking bag that has an extra pocket for accessories (picks, cables, etc.). It provides plenty of padding for the average bump or bruise, but of course, be careful. As the others have said, it's designed to fit a lot of different mandolins, so it is a tad big on mine as well (a neck strap would've been helpful). Overall, I'd say it's a good entry-level bag, but it probably would be best to eventually upgrade.

Comments about Road Runner Mandolin Bag:

Because this bg has to fit many differnt mandolins it's a bit big for the Fender Mando Strat

Howevr it's well made and I'm sure will protect the instrument just fine

If I could change one thing I'd add a neck seccurring strap inside which would help the too big factor a lot.

Well made gig bag that fits the Fender Mando Strat

Pockets to hold tuner, picks, cords etc etc

Works well, carry handle, shoulder strap all in all nice

Down side ( and this is pretty much the rule with all "general fit" after market cases ) Because it has to work on a wide selection of Electric Mandolins it's a bit too roomy inside and the instrument kinda flops around

A nice alteration might be for them to add a neck strap inside to stabilize the mando?.............. Just saying

                        Worth the money
