GREAT PRODUCT!
I own 2 of these and even after buying them I was a bit hesitant because I have always been a "Flight case" kind of guy, Well at a gig in July I set my 3 basses down next to the equipment trailor as we waited in line to load in and as I walked into the club I heard a ruckus and my bandmates screaming "STOP". I had an awful feeling in the pit of my stomach, but turned around anyways to see the wheels of our fully loaded trailor ON TOP OF one of my roadrunner cases which house my Ibanez sr-505 5 strings! He hacked off them and our tech and I grabbed my basses up and ran inside to assess the certain demise of one of my basses. The whole time I was praying that it wasn't my trusted (and main axe) 1994 MIJ SR 505, but as I opened the case there she was...almost crying already, I checked her out and there wasn't so much as a (new) SCRATCH on her! Checked the neck, looked her over repeatedly and handed her off to other to be amazed!
I won't hesitate to put another of my basses in a RoadRunner Polyfoam case and am planning on replacing the falling apart case to my trusted 93 American Custom P-Bass with one of these!
the dang thing stood up to getting DRIVEN over and is still fully functional and only slightly out of it's origanl shape. (it does have a nice tire track on it though that I refuse to clean off)
Worth every last penny!

I am starting to think it is road runner rather than a defect in the case at all. Yeah it's light and everything which is nice and it has alot of storage, but is simply a piece of crap. To start off, the first day I got it, somebody closed the top of it when a flap was open on the inside, and of course since it is only stapled, it came right out. I ended up taking a staple gun and putting about 20 staples in each of the flaps which is working for the moment. Then, the pegs on the bottom came out from overtightening at the factory, and you can't screw it back in since it's foam. Then I set my bass on top of the closed case at the end of a gig to find a crack in the foam, so when ever any pressure is on the spot, it caves in a put the pressure on my strings. I was unsure about getting this because of my old Road Runner Gig Bag, with no padding, broken zippers, and holes from the strap locks. Dont go with road runner...trust me.

Better than a gig bag.

Comments about Road Runner Polyfoam Bass Guitar Case:

I bought one of these because I wanted more than a gig bag. But I didn't want the weight and price of a case. I got it on sale or I would have picked up a regular case probably. Sure it's not gonna last forever but I've taken my Carvin 5 string to Church and back twice a week for a long time. Also to practice and back. For what I want it for it's perfect. The zippers feel sturdy. The material feels sturdy. I keep my bass in it all the time and have for a few years now and have no construction errors. I love the pockets in the case for stuff and TWO pockets on the front of the case for more stuff. That's 4 pockets! I keep my batteries in there and strings and my tuner. The boss standard white foot pedal tuner. The mesh never rips. Also keep a fingernail clipper in there. That's a tip for yeah. It's not be-all-end-all but I love it for the rigidity of a case and the light weight of a bag. If I were playing out all the time and touring I'd go with something a little more heavy duty.

Comments about Road Runner Polyfoam Bass Guitar Case:

I've had this case for a little over a year, and I knew it wouldn't be top of the line when I bought it. However, don't buy it. I had it in my room one day, when my 80 pound dog walked on it, the polyfoam broke. That was about a month after the purchase. I thought no big deal, it should be okay. Next, the little feet in the bottom came off. I would screw them back in, but the case is polyfoam, so you can't. Next, the staples came out of the inside pockets. Then one of the zippers broke. Then, a couple months ago, I noticed a growing mark on my bass. I looked in the case, and the foam come through the interior plush padding, scratching my bass badly. Then, going on stage for sound check, the handle broke off the case. I don't want anything else to do with this case or Road Runner. Dont buy it.

Comments about Road Runner Polyfoam Bass Guitar Case:

This bass case is perfect for travel to and from local venues. The kind where you handle your own gear. My Ibanez SR-505 fits snugly and securely inside the well-padded interior.

The handle is well-placed, the zippers seem sturdy, and the storage (inside and out) is more than adequate.

Comments about Road Runner Polyfoam Bass Guitar Case:

This case is not much more expensive than some deluxe gig bags. It's a great value for the money. It's definitely not a flight case & I wouldn't put anything slightly heavy on the top of it. I strive to baby my basses & the cases too so this works out great for me taking my bass back & forth to church, or wherever I am carrying my equipment myself. It's a great fit for my G&L JB-2 4 string. My MIM Fender 5 string jazz bass will not fit in this case. The upper horn where the strap button is located is just too long. So keep that in mind if you're getting it for a 5 string. I would imagine most 4 strings would fit in this case. (A Thunderbird bass being a likely exception) It has decent storage space in the outside pockets and 2 compartments inside. I use the inside ones for my strap & a 10ft cable. It does not have shoulder straps, but I haven't really been a fan of those anyway. I don't usually use them, so I guess it's just personal preference. I've had this case for a few months now and am very happy with it so far. I feel that if I take really good care of it, that it'll last a good while. Again, much better protection than a gig bag & for close to the same price.

Comments about Road Runner Polyfoam Bass Guitar Case:

When I purchased a Fender Jazz 24 at a well-known store, I was annoyed that they always expect you to either leave with the guitar in your hands, or you're forced to buy a case. When I saw this Road Runner polyfoam case, I was immediately impressed by how rugged it was - it's an excellent compromise between a gig bag and a true hardshell case. Road Runner makes the best gig bag I've ever owned, and this polyfoam case carries on their high standards. It fits my Aerodyne J-bass, my standard J's, and my Jazz 24 perfectly. I would buy another one for bass or guitar without any reservations.

Comments about Road Runner Polyfoam Bass Guitar Case:

I bought this lightweight case for my Fender Jazz Bass-it wouldn't fit the bass! I now use it for my vintage 60's Tiesco Bass, I now have more money invested in the case than the bass it's protecting. It seemed like such a well made case I didn't have the heart to return it.

Comments about Road Runner Polyfoam Bass Guitar Case:

I picked up a 69 Univox Hi Flyer bass at my local music store. Needed a case to fit the bass. Due to its short scale and wide body, I wasn't sure how it would fit. Perfect fit at a great price.

Comments about Road Runner Polyfoam Bass Guitar Case:

This is a very lightweight case, with plenty of storage, and best of all, a GREAT value. The only thing I will say, is that while it would fit a traditional P-Bass or J-Bass perfectly, I bought it for an ESP Ltd B, and that body is smaller than that of traditional basses, and it has space to move around in the case. It works fine for what I'm going to use it for, but invest in a more "posh" case for a more expensive guitar, if it is smaller than a P-Bass.

      Great Case

Comments about Road Runner Polyfoam Bass Guitar Case:

This is a great case. It us unbalanced and tips over when you stand it up alone. The case material on the outside can snag very easily, but it keeps the bass sturdy. In the case, I have 3 straps, a rag, a tuner, and my entire wireless system. That's not even counting the outside pouches. It can house my Fender P Bass Deluxe, and my Epiphone.
