I have had one of these cases for almost 4 years now, and trust this case with all my guitars (PRS McCarty, Brian Moore, Kramer, Custom Shop Carvin DC400A...you name it) I love the case because it offers decent protection for a great price. It's lightweight, and I've never had a complaint or issue on overall build quality. I'm buying another one soon.

You have to understand, this is not a hardshell case, so, you're not going to get the protection that a hard-shell case is going to offer, so, there are pros & cons. It's great for light travel, back of car, to and from studio, to and from local gigs, etc etc

Personally, I love this case, and it's well worth the $$$.

Warning, if you love your guitar then don't buy this case. There is a screw that protrudes from the rubber foot and into the case thus jabbing gapping holes into whatever is in its way. This is not a dud, it is a manufacturing issue. I went into my local music store and touched my finger to the contact point of the bottom right bout of the case and I could feel the tip of the screw in every single one. You have been warned.....buy something else, i promise that you wont regret it.

this thing ruined guitar finish

Comments about Road Runner Polyfoam Electric Guitar Case:

watch out!!! there is a problem with these cases!!it ruined the finish on my PRS. There is a screw like a sheet rock screw, that holds on the rubber feet and when the case gets bounced it pokes thru the padding into the body of your guitar. What a dissapointmet over all, Also the zipper broke on the storage compartment.

BUYER BEWARE

Comments about Road Runner Polyfoam Electric Guitar Case:

I own two of these and started out being very impressed with the cases. Until...

I noticed that one of my guitars was severely chipped near the input jack. Turns out, it was from the Road Runner case. The screw that attaches one of the four rubber feet to the case was poking through the interior foam and damaged the guitar.

I contacted Road Runner, and they asked for photos. They then said they would replace the case and pay for the repairs to the guitar. A month went by and I didn't hear or receive anything from them. I contacted them again, and they gave me the same story. It has now been four months, and I still have not heard or received anything from them.

I would strongly caution anyone looking at this case and would suggest going with another brand.

Comments about Road Runner Polyfoam Electric Guitar Case:

The case has four resting pegs on the bottom attached with screws. On one of my cases, one of the screws poked through the foam liner causing significant damage to the body of the guitar resulting in a large repair bill. I won't be using this case anymore.

Comments about Road Runner Polyfoam Electric Guitar Case:

I once dropped my fave guitar while it was in this case. It fell about four feet onto concrete, bounced up about two feet, and totally did it's job to a greater extent than a hardshell case would have because of the styrofoam interior surrounding the guitar - and the case even looked then same with no nicks. But the best thing is that you get all that protection at a very light weight! So if you have to schlepp your own rig, this really helps.
I love this case because it provides 1st class protection, but weighs much less than the standard "hardshell" cases do.
Had it two years and it still looks as good as when I bought it. And I don't baby cases either - I treat them as expendable objects that are designed to protect the contents.
The price vs service on this case has been exceptionally good.

Ruined my guitar

Comments about Road Runner Polyfoam Electric Guitar Case:

Nice enough for the price, but only used a couple times, before it destroyed my guitar finish. I think I just got a bad one, but make sure you review yours. The rubber button that the case sits up on in the back, went through the case creating multiple screw holes in my guitar.Be advised

Comments about Road Runner Polyfoam Electric Guitar Case:

Works great to store guitar and help with dust etc. Ok to travel to take to a friend's or small gig but not for regular gig or heavy traveling. Using for Les Paul Studio - caution with toggle (I pressed and formed foam under lining to help protect toggle) also used a small wood block I lined with felt to put under head stock to help fit better to protect head and heck of guitar. Good basic case and reasonable price but not perfect fit for Studio even though used the case finder tool

Comments about Road Runner Polyfoam Electric Guitar Case:

Case is pretty nice. It feels sturdy and has 2 compartments on the inside for storage and two outside pockets for storage. I have no problem fitting extra strings my tremelo bar 2 pedals cables and picks. I thought it was a little pricey but there wasnt anything available cheaper that would fit my guitar according to the musicians friend case finder tool. ( i have an esp ltd m100fm, it fits great). Besides the price the only downside ive found was that the straps that hold the top of the case when its open get caught in the zipper when closing it, but thats not a big deal just push them in. There were some reviews saying there was a screw that pertrudes into the case, I dont see any screw they must have fixed that. Overall good case i would be comfertable taking it to some shows in it.

Comments about Road Runner Polyfoam Electric Guitar Case:

This is the second one of these I've bought. The first came with a guitar and I liked enough to buy another. Very light. Roomy. Dual string boxes keep things organized. The outer pockets are roomy enough to actually be useful. Offers decent protection for the price and the weight. Neither of my cases have the protruding screw issue. If I need another case I'd certainly buy another. They are also well balanced and you can carry two guitars with one hand leaving the other free for your amp or pedalboard.

Comments about Road Runner Polyfoam Electric Guitar Case:

Its a bit big for my Ibanez S-Classic, it was able to slide a bit top to bottom and side to side. Only say an inch or two in any direction.
I just put an old T-shirt in there to stop that from being possible.

There are a few reviews that state the screw from the feet pushes into the interior of the case, I checked that before I put my guitar in there -- Roadrunner must have altered the design because there's no screw there.

For the cost, this case is great.

I Love this Roadrunner guitar case, it's lightweight but, tough enough to handle the road. I would like one for my "V" and my Warrior. It doesn't take up as much space as my Explorer case does and really cuts down on the weight issue.

Looks like it can take some abuse but wouldn't want to run it over with a car with my prized guitar in it. Could us a set of backpack straps or at least a set of D rings, but I'm picking nits. Usual lightning fast shipping from MF.

This is a nice compromise between a bag and a hard case. Much better than a gig bag, and a good bit lighter than a hard case. Nice universal fit too. I did add a small towel under the neck of my guitar so it would not move in the "channel". When closed up the guitar is very secure and not going to move around.

This case is essential for the guitarist who needs to go places but has nowhere to put his various cables, extra pedals, etc into. It's value is excellent, and the quality is great for what it is. I play at church most sundays, and it's extremely convinient to be able to take cables, pedals, books, and other various things that I need. The guys that may tell you the quality is off are either crazy, or they got a terrible dud, which happens with basically everything. Don't get discouraged. If you want a unique, inexpensive, lightweight, and roomy case, get this.

Comments about Road Runner Polyfoam Electric Guitar Case:

Was going to buy a gig-bag for a guitar I made, for gentle transport to church and back. I was totally unimpressed with ALL the gig bags at the store. I was looking at a tweed covered hardshell case, not Fender, but the sides had no rigidity at all, as did many of the less-expensive hardshell cases. Growing frustrated, store staff presented me with this polyfoam guitar case and I was very impressed. Lightweight, and good protection for the money. It has two storage compartments, and can hold quite a bit. Plus there's a zipper pouch on the exterior that you can put cables and more stuff in. If you see one of these, press in the middle of the sides, and see how firm and rigid the case is. Compare to other hardshell cases, you will be impressed. I make my strat-copies with thin necks, and the neck cradle portion of the case does seem a bit wide and a bit deep, but you could put a soft cloth around the neck to support it. I don't worry about it. I also wish it have four plastic feet on the side for when you lay it down to open the case. It has them on the edge, but not the backside. Here's the endorsement: I want to buy at least one more for guitars I am making.
