The bag itself is pretty good. Lots of room to carry my gear, and good protection for my instrument. My bass hasn't been damaged at all inside it.The same cannot be said for the bag itself, though. The seams and the fabric around them carry all the weight, so they give out rather quickly. I've had to patch it and give it reinforced stitching in order to keep using it. I feel I've gotten a fair value for my money, but potential buyers should be prepared to either load it lightly or reinforce these parts.

I bought this new and have used it moderately for under a year. Every zipper pull tab on the bag has broken off in my hands while closing the bag. I have not abused this case in any way, the manfacturer cut some corners on this. I wouldn't buy another gig bag by this company.

Comments about Road Runner Roadster Bass Gig Bag:

This Bag is very well designed for the most part. The Handles are well protected and big tough zippers ensure a secure close to protect your valued investment. Even without the bass inside of it, This Gig bag will stand straight up when leaned against a wall. It is very well padded!!! The only real design flaw that I see is the pocket on the back of it that hides the shoulder straps. To access the straps, you must unzip the pocket, then remove the end which you will clip to the top or bottom buckles. The buckles themselves, are all metal, and unless you are carrying around a one ton bass, should hold pretty well.
Anyway, once you decide the straps will be your chosen method of transport, the zippered pocket flap will remain open until you decided to put the shoulder starpa back inside. That is the only part I dont like. This however, does not affect the protection it provides to your Bass guitar! The stitching attaching the straps to the back of this gig bag is really well done! Very tough and secure stitching!!!
Overall, This to me was a very good purchase. I recommend this bag to anyone looking for real value and in a gig bag offering quality protection against accidental little bumps and bruises that can happen to an instrument that is kept without one.

Comments about Road Runner Roadster Bass Gig Bag:

This is a decent gig bag with good protection. The thing that I dont particularly care for is that the straps/backpack straps in their own pocket leave it looking kinda messy when the pocket is open and the straps are out. They do not secure comfortably to the top strap securing grommet and the pad for using one strap instead of 2 is uncomfortable. I prefer to use one strap instead of the backpack like feature and this is not confortable. There are no instructions as to how to secure things which is kind of a nusicence. Otherwise the handles and padding are great. It's stiff and stands up on it's own due to the good grade padding and the pockets in the front are outstanding. All in all a good bag however i just wish the straps were a little more ergonomic and intuitive on how to use em. There is no way to move the shoulder pad up so you can use only one strap over the shoulder like other bags.

I prefer hard cases for serious travel, but the Road Runner gig bags do a nice job for the things you would normally feel good about using a gig bag. Well padded; lots of pockets, shoulder straps that can be zipped up out of the way. Good fit. Especially like the neck handle for snagging the instrument from a standing position. Good value

              Overpriced but functional

Comments about Road Runner Roadster Bass Gig Bag:

I have only used this a few times since my purchase, and it seems to function ok, but given the features it does seem overpriced at 49.99. I would expect a shoulder strap to be included, but only backpack straps were included. The padding/shape of the bag was not as sturdy as I would have expected for the price. The number of pockets and the overall construction seems to be ok. I would probably not have purchased this if it were not for the discount MF was offering at the time.

Don't buy this POC gig bag

              By Bottom ender

Comments about Road Runner Roadster Bass Gig Bag:

My experience mirrors a friend of mine who bought a keyboard RR soft case. The construction design is fatally flawed in that when using the handle, all downward weight is carried by the seams, which give out quickly. My first trip using this gig bag resulted in separation of the handle piece of cloth from the seams. I was rough, didn't pack if full of crap. Just the Fender JB, a cord and Korg tuner. My friend's keyboard case ripped in the same manner on his first use of it. Buy one where the handle straps go all the way around so the weight is carried by the strap, not the seams.

This gig bag has a lot of space for my books, cables, folders, etc, and of course the bass fits well also. I use it as a back pack most of the time and it's comfortable, too.

I play a Squier Deluxe Active Jazz Bass which is a fairly heavy bass, but with this walking around isn't a problem. and it has alot of compartments for tuners, strings, cords etc. I love it!
