About Me Experienced

Pros

  • Nice case but VERY tight fit for my Martin D35

Cons

    Best Uses

    • Works well for my church gigs.

Comments about Road Runner Roadster Classical Guitar Gig Bag:

I transport my Martin D35 to and from my gigs in this. In spite of the lightweight it is sturdy. My only complaint is that the outer pocket is too small for my music so I must carry this separate. This actually may be a good thing since the extra weight and bulk is not up against my guitar.

Comments about Road Runner Roadster Classical Guitar Gig Bag:

This has better padding than my other gig bag. It's compact for my parlor guitar. Light and works great.

      Not really well thought out

      By Dima Kay

Comments about Road Runner Roadster Classical Guitar Gig Bag:

I've had this gigbag for about a year and I use it for my Cordoba GK which is a small bodied classical/flamenco style. I bought it because with a soft gig-bag I can take it on the plane as a carry-on when I tour.
The gig-bag is a bit over-sized for a smaller bodied classical, but I knew that would be the case. My biggest problem is how poorly balanced everything is on this gig-bag. The position of the handle means that the guitar is never level when carrying it, the headstock is always tipping up. The place where the back-pack straps meets the body of the case at the top is too low, so that when you where it as a backpack, the headstock is pulling away from your body by a good 5-6 inches.
I do like the top pocket because it can fit a tuner pedal, etc. But putting anything in the pockets like a pre-amp or mics or the sort will put weight on the body of the guitar which always scares me.
I've seen much better gig-bags around but this is all the store had that wasn't a hardcase and I had a flight the next day. I'll be looking for a polyfoam case with straps in the future.

      I Happen to Like It

      By coolerthanUR2

Comments about Road Runner Roadster Classical Guitar Gig Bag:

Owned this bag for a few months, and lug this axe around almost daily. Got it at a brick n mortar-limited selection. NO issues at all. Keeps my guitar safe wherever I take it. Very easy to carry with the side handle, good backpack straps. Tuck away neatly-nice feature. Extra handle on front is cool. Hate hardshells after using this bag. More storage than I'll ever need. Well thought out. Pockets inside of pockets. If I need more capacity, I'll stuff the ltwt bulky items into my day pak, shoulder that, and carry all else in my hands. Very light. A hardshell has no storage by comparision. I may try the M.G. Elite next time I need one, & it's cheaper. Order this and see if it meets your needs. Life's full of compromises, like only owning one guitar! This is a good one.

      Good Value

      By Jimbro-XZ3Lu

Comments about Road Runner Roadster Classical Guitar Gig Bag:

This bag was a perfect fit for my resonator guitar. I have used is for several months, now. I haul my instrument to work once a week or more to practice with a group there or to play for an employee event. I take it up and down stairs and through a series of closed doors. I also have taken it camping a few times. My "dobro" has a beautiful maple finish and it is still in perfect condition. The bag has adequate numbers of pockets for picks, tuner, strings etc., including some smaller zippered and tabbed pockets inside the larger pockets. I have had 2 issues with this gig bag. One of the main zipper tabs broke. It is a nice large zipper and I was able to replace the tab with a binder ring available for a few cents from an office supply. The other problem is the main pocket on the front does need to be slightly larger. Is appears to have been sized to make the lines esthetically pleasing. I am able to fit a 133 page music book inside with a bit of work but the book would suffer in the long run. Unfortunately, I keep my music in a 1 1/2" ring binder which doesn't permit me to close the pocket. The shoulder straps tuck away nicely inside their pocket when not needed.

      I hate this gig bag!

      By Tony Orion

      from West Michigan

Comments about Road Runner Roadster Classical Guitar Gig Bag:

I jam with some friends and have to schlep a steel string and nylon acoustic cutaway as well as a briefcase with music through 4 closely spaced doors and up a narrow flight of stairs to get to the loft where we practice. It became a real challenge with hard shell cases. I do not expect a soft gig bag to give me serious protection for heavy travel. So the Roadrunners are fine for light travel in a car.But I have to ask the question as to the intelligence of the designer regarding the pockets. The small ones are fine for metronomes, capos, strings, etc. The large ones are useless for anything but a few sheets of paper, preferably folded. You cannot get a music book in there, even a thin one. How big a deal would it be to add a touch more material so that the pockets would become useful?Stupid, stupid!!!
