This bag is well made, attractive, well-padded, and - most importantly! - it fits ES-335 style guitars perfectly!

I was looking for a gig bag for my Epiphone Dot. Unfortunately, there are very few ES-style gig bags on the market and most of them are very expensive. This bag, on the other hand, is not marketed as being for Dot or ES-335 guitars. But, having seen one in a store (and trying it with one of the guitars hanging on the wall there), I knew that it would fit my Dot. So, I called Musicians Friend and ordered one.

The bag is literally a perfect fit for a Gibson ES-335 (or 345, 355, etc.). However, due to their longer headstocks, Epiphone Dots and their cousins are a little snug at the top. But, being as it's a cloth bag, I expect that it will stretch in a very short time (really, it's only about 1/2" short out of the box).

I would not recommend this bag for Les Paul or Telecaster style guitars, as it would be huge and the guitars would move around inside *a lot*. But, for ES-style guitars, it is the cat's meow!

This bag was shipped in a very large cardboard box. It was not folded and it arrived in perfect condition. Well done, MF!

In short: This bag is well made and a great value for the price. It is exactly what the doctor ordered for ES-335 and Dot style guitars, especially as their are so few other options out there.

I recommend this bag, especially for ES and Dot guitars.

I bought this gig bag today for my Telecaster. I needed good protection, a reasonably snug fit, and a pocket for sheet music and my real book.

The fit is way too wide for my Telecaster, so it moves around. The padding is decent, but there's no neck support. The shoulder straps are in a zipper pocket and I don't know what to do with the flap when it's unzipped; it's a little awkward to me. The pocket is too small for my real book or sheet music. I know that most guitarists don't read, but come on! Seriously?

If you have a wide guitar, want to carry it by hand, and don't use sheet music, this bag may work for you. However, I'm very disappointed. Will be returning it tomorrow.

Comments about Road Runner Roadster Electric E Guitar Gig Bag:

When I first bought my Shadow Mockingbird Pro X with FR I knew I'd need a special case for my strangely shaped dream guitar. I wanted a Coffin case but the X-175 was just too expensive, then they were discontinued. I bought the BC Rich Deluxe Gig Bag BCGBAG1 at MF and it certainly works great, but I feel it's too big for my tastes. I found "RoadRunner Roadster Electric E Guitar Gig Bag" at MF is a much better fit with more handles, many more pockets, and shoulder straps.

                Decent bag that is big

Comments about Road Runner Roadster Electric E Guitar Gig Bag:

This is a well constructed bag. The padding is adequate. Nice features as far as pockets and shoulder staps. This is a step up from your low price gig bag in that the padding is a bit thicker and the sides are formed (there is actually a bit of a side wall) rather then the top and bottom just zipping together.

The one negative, if you view it that way, is that it is very large. Your electric guitar will slide arount a bit and there is no neck suppot.

                Roadrunner Gigbag

Comments about Road Runner Roadster Electric E Guitar Gig Bag:

I wouldn't have gotten this for a normal strat or tele- shaped guitar because it's too wide. I only got this because I have a dot semi- hollowbody that barely fit in it and I didn't want to blow 90 bucks on a case for it. It is a great gigbag as far as gigbags go: durable, heavily padded and plenty of pockets to stow your gear in. If I had a strat or a tele I would spend the same amount on a hardshell case, but if you like gigbags, this is a good pick.

                Great gig bag

Comments about Road Runner Roadster Electric E Guitar Gig Bag:

I use this gig bag for my parts guitar. Th equality is excellent and it provides ample protection for the guitar. It is a little large for the guitar (Les Paul style) but the padding is so thick, I don't worry about it. My #1 guitar (Fender Strat) has a hard case, but for my less expensive guitars, this gig bag is perfect. I may just buy another one for the Ibanez electric I won in a contest.

The Road Runner Roadster electric guitar gig bag looks great but lasted me four gigs before it tore along the seam by the handle and along the back seam.Plenty of storage pockets but thats the only good thing.Had to wrap my strat in a blanket because it has to much space. The zipper always hung up on the lining.I think I will just stick to hard cases. It was worth a try.

This Road Runner bag is a great electric guitar carrier. It protects your guitar from any drops or falls. I've dropped my Ibanez while in this bag dozens of times and there is never a scratch. Great cost for the product and always does it's job. It has good amount of pockets to hold all your equipment.

                Very Disappointed

Comments about Road Runner Roadster Electric E Guitar Gig Bag:

I have this bag for my acoustic guitar. The quality of it is very poor. I have only owned this bag since Septemeber and it is already tearing. I take very good care of my instruments and equipment. It is tearing right at the handle where I carry my guitar. I have another guitar and I have had it longer. I have it in a regular nylon bag and that bag is holding up much better than this one. I have also seen other musicians with this bag and their bags too have big tears in them.
