This stand is perfect for me. Right now I have 2 acoustics, 1 bass, 1 electric, and a banjo on it. I had another acoustic on it, but it got a little crowded. It can be done though. You just have to be careful. I have the square tube model which assembled fairly easily. The foam pads get compressed after a while so that could be improved. Right now its adequate for my use. The guitars actually rest at an angle, so the stand has to be off the wall about 5-6 inches, especially for a bass. For me this is a bonus because I have room for some ukuleles and a lap steel guitar behind the stand. Before I bought this stand, I had instruments spread around every wall of my apartment. Now most of my axes fit in a space of about 4 feet. If you're concerned about the pads on this model not being protective enough, then maybe consider buying a more expensive "guitar case" type stand. For me, this does the job.

Basic rack that is not much better quality than a cheap single guitar stand. It's just a simple tubular (very thin) steel frame, with some foam wrapped around it. I needed a rig that would hold several guitars in my studio, and it suits my needs for that, but the quality is very questionable. Don't let the 'folding stand' feature fool you; this unit isn't close to being roadworthy. The foam is ultra cheap and the design isn't terribly sturdy. It likely would be rendered completely unusable after a few road gigs. I'll be able to make it last because I have no intention of using it for gigs; only for use in my studio. Even at that, I think I'll have to treat it with special care to keep it functional. I think this is overpriced, but there doesn't seem to be any other competition for a studio rack, so this is it. The most disappointing thing about this, is that it's made by Warwick (carries their name anyway), which usually means quality. Not so in this case.

Comments about RockStand by Warwick 7-Guitar Folding Stand:

I bought this for my home guitar room, to hold seven guitars. There is nothing really wrong with the stand. I mean you can fit seven guitars on it, but they are so close together you must be very careful not to knock them together when lifting in and out. Now consider this: I also own the Hercules 5-guitar stand, which costs a little more, but is far superior in build, quality and design. It is about 6 inches longer then this 7-guitar stand, and can fit as-advertised 5 acoustic or combination of guitars with comfort. The way the guitars fit in the Hercules is much better, due to the neck-holder and the bottom dividers. If you want to store more electrics on the Hercules, they sell extra neck-holder & divider sets as shown on the box (although I don't think MF carries them). The Hercules requires no assembly, and also folds down. So in summary, this is not a bad stand at all, but I wish I would have just gotten another Hercules.

Comments about RockStand by Warwick 7-Guitar Folding Stand:

I am very pleased with this stand. Got it on a special, so it was a great deal. Instructions for assembly were horrible. I am a visually oriented person anyway. My suggestion, do not tighten anything down until it is all put together. Go over it and tighten it down again, especially the bottom rails, because the foam will squish, and the screws will become loose. This is the newer version, I think its secure. These stands do not really have dividers for acoustic guitars, so extra care setting them in and taking them out is key to not banging them together. Folds up and is light weight to transport.

Comments about RockStand by Warwick 7-Guitar Folding Stand:

This is a really handy unit. I used to have to take my guitars in and out of the cases all the time and put them back due to lack of space. Now I have seven of them out and grab any one and just play whichever as the mood strikes me. Musicians Friend replaced the first due to a factory defect with no questions asked. Now that's great service. Good product.

The item pictured is not the item you will receive. Besides that fact, it does what its supposed to.
As other reviewers have mentioned, one needs to be careful when putting down the guitar so it wont "twist" and hit the one next to it.
I am happy with this item, but I wished I had known what I was *really* getting. Other vendors have the item that you will actually get for less money.

I found this 7 guitar folding stand to be everything I'd hoped for. It was quick and simple to assemble and and offers a very practical solution to safely storing guitars for easy access. It is very study, attractive and compact. My wife is delighted to have her dining room back now that all of my instruments are neatly set off to one corner of the room.

Good concept, but needs improvement with workmanship.

Comments about RockStand by Warwick 7-Guitar Folding Stand:

A bit disappointing, due to the workmanship.
This is a good concept. Like the idea of padding and soft surfaces for guitars, and also the light weight of this guitar stand. Not to mention the fact you can store seven guitars
The real problem is the workmanship. A couple of the padded pieces that stick out of the top were loose. Tried to tighten them but with no luck. Appeared that the metal inside was rusted as well.

I've just ordered my second one of these after using one for about 5-7 years. (I've bought a few guitars in that time, ha ha.) When I felt the need to have more stands around, I knew I'd be coming back to this one. It's tough as nails and saves a TON of space. It's a little bit higher in cost than I'd like, since it's not really got much more metal in it than about three tubular stands, so there was SOME hesitation there...plus, the five-guitar version is only $10 less... But, in all, I don't regret the extra cash for a product I know will hold up for a decade or so. :)

After over 40 years of a Maze of single, double and triple stands in my Jam Room I'm happy with the way this stand has freed up space.I've owned this stand for 5 years and have just ordered another one.I play all Big Body Acoustic/Electrics and although you can't get 7 of these guitars on this stand I am still very pleased with what it has done for me.When the time comes I will order another Warwick 7-Guitar Folding Stand!
