Comments about Rogue Open Back Banjo Gig Bag:

This bag is padded and will protect your banjo from dirt, bumps and bruises, but is not a hard bag. Padding is adequate and the material is sturdy. It is not a form-fit bag, and is actually big enough that my resonator banjo will fit in it. The neck part is oversized, so I sometimes wrap a towel around the tuning machines for extra protection. The front pocket will hold capo, picks, tuners ,etc., but not big enough for sheet music. For the price and for my needs, I am very satisfied.

Comments about Rogue Open Back Banjo Gig Bag:

Very nice bag for 35 USD. Nicely padded, handy pouch, strap and handle. I've purchased several of these for open back banjos and the longer Minstrel Banjos. The best part is the zipper, it's a nice high quality zipper that I've never had trouble with. No, this isn't a case, it's a bag. And it's one of the nicest ones out there.

Comments about Rogue Open Back Banjo Gig Bag:

This bag is a joke. and if you do not buy it for the listed a Rogue starter banjo, you will pay a restocking fee.

First the bag will not unzip far enough at the body to fold back properly so it is always folding shut.

Second, although the body section is the correct size for an openback banjo, the depth of the body area is 6 inches deep. The width of the neck area is 8 inches wide and the depth of the neck area is also 6 inches.

So although the body diameter is correct, the bag depth still leaves your banjo flopping around inside, and you hear strings plinging when carrying. Plus since the neck area is so oversized, you can not really prop it up against something since all the excess fabric will simply collapse and buckle and then your instrument falls over.

I now have to pay shipping both ways since I do not order this for a rogue travel banjo as it is listed to fit. That was not one of the 4 banjos I bought this month from musiciainsfriend.

Summary DO NOT BUY THIS UNLESS YOU WANT AN OVERSIZED. WEAKLY PROTECTED USELESS GIG BAG.

Another note about the Rogue travel banjo that this bag fits. The bag neck area is 8 inches by 6 inches so validate you have the hands to reach around an instrument of that girth if you want a rogue banjo. Since this bag is designed to fit that banjo.

Musician Friend prices and service has always been top notch. very disappointed here

Comments about Rogue Open Back Banjo Gig Bag:

I was impressed with the guitar bags by Musician's Friend and wrongly assumed this would be of similar quality. Wrong! No padding! Buy the Musicians Gear Deluxe Banjo Bag instead.

Comments about Rogue Open Back Banjo Gig Bag:

I don't know why this is titled as a Rogue product. It is actually a guardian, and guardian makes a great gig bag. This case is large enough for any open-back banjo. I use it for my epiphone MB-100. it may even fit a long neck, the neck of the bag seems too long. It has a large front pocket, but not large enough for any instructional books. the back-pack style straps are a real plus.
