Gauge .042, Nickel Wound - Electric

These are the same guitar strings Rogue uses in prepackaged retail sets. What's the difference? We package 12 strings of the same gauge in airtight vinyl bags with a package of silica gel to protect against unwanted moisture so they last longer than typical string sets. We also pack these bulk strings in big, loose coils to avoid compressing or stretching the windings, so they sound better than tightly coiled strings. Rogue Strings are made exclusively for us by a famous manufacturer, employing the finest materials and latest manufacturing methods.

Comments about Rogue W42 Bulk 12 Pack 042 Nickel Electric Guitar Strings:

You can buy name brand strings but for the money these are the best out there. I change them for every show. You cannot go wrong. I buy them by the gross!

Good value

Comments about Rogue W42 Bulk 12 Pack 042 Nickel Electric Guitar Strings:

Great for everyday playing and regular gigging. If you are a really obsessive you may want to restring with your favorite brand before performing though you would be hard pressed to prove any difference in tone, playability or durabilty.
I haven't the time nor inclination to compare every major string manufacturers product for tone and durability. Rogue mentions these are manufacured by a well known entity and I would like to know who that is. Having bulk strings saves time and money. In my case, I play 4 guitars regularly and lose a string or 2 every couple of weeks. Most manufacturers don't sell quantities, though that appears to be changing. I find these comparable to D'Addario.
See previous comment.
I just don't think you can convince paying 5-10 times more for name brand strings is worth it. For most players, these are great strings.
