This appears to be a well made switch, but. There is one little quirk that I have found and evidently others have as well. That would be the necessity of pressing it twice to turn on or off a device that it is connected to. I purchased a second one thinkink that the first was defective and guess what... same old story. Roland support is no help. Their web site doesn't even reference it. Does anyone know why this is and how to defeat it? I have used this with several accessories and had the same problem. Some people evidently have not encountered this according to the reviews. All I wanted was a simple switch for on-off. This is what I was given. I guess that if your foot needs exercise then this is the way to go..Me I just want to turn things on or off, basic start-stop, and this sure ain't it. I am going to Radio Shack.

Good price, does what it claims to do and seems solid and sturdy. I use it to switch channels on my amp and it does just that. As others have remarked to having trouble with the switch I have not found that to be so. One click it all it takes.

      A Winner

      By Willy T

I needed a mute footswitch for my SA-220 and had a hard time finding one that would work. The FS-1 switch is very durable with a good length of cord. Unlike others, I only have to hit the switch once. The FS-1 has been a great addition to my musical equipment. No humming, buzzing or popping during switching. I highly recommend this foot switch. **********

      Just What I Needed

      By Willy T

      from Douglasville, GA

The FS-1 Single Footswitch was recommended by Fishman for my SA-220. I had read about having to hit the switch twice to make it work and resigned myself to that is what I will need to do. I found out, when I received the switch that - ha - I only need to hit it once to mute and unmute the SA-220. This is a great product with outstanding durability.

      Works well for me

      By Nate Stewart

      from Undisclosed

I picked this up as a footswitch for an old Electra EP-150 delay. It works well. On this device it seems to interrupt the audio rather than kill the effect, so if a chord is ringing when you click over, it will already be echoing. Can be kind of interesting in and of itself. The switch seems solid and doesn't pop the speaker when you click it on and off. Nice long cable, too.
It's a switch. Stomp once for on, again for off. Simple.
Has some heft. Feels like it will last a good long while.
Seems expensive for what it is, but also price competitive with the other switches I've found.

      FS-1

This is a great footswitch for the price and its durability. I dropped this thing more times than I can count and it hasn't broken once! As for you people that say you have to step on it twice to get it to switch channles you're wrong! You're just not stepping on it hard enough! Belive me I've stomped on this thing as hard as I can and it hasn't broken! most people think oh well i sould spend the extra buck to get a marshall footswitch but you will be dissapionted if you do!

      Switch!

      By Dcp

I wanted a switch for my Blues Junior and I didn't want to spend a lot for a Fender switch. So, I went down to a local music store and found this! It's a switch I could have made myself, but it's in a nice case and works great. Overall, great switch!

      Why?

      By TeeLeengo

      from livingston, TX

This is a quality switch, the ONLY problem I have with it is: You have to press it two times for it to do the switch over. That's right, you must press it two times to make the switch over. I wish that I had known this before I made the purchase. What were these guys thinking about when they designed it this way?

      It's a Switch

      By Moridin

      from Yakima, Washington

Hey, it's a switch. It toggles channels and/or effects on an amp. It does what it's supposed to do. It's very well built, easily supports my 250LB highschool lineman body. I'm not entirely sure what these guys before me mean by having to push the thing twice to change channel, because I don't have that problem. Maybe it has something to do with their amp. Anyway, it works fine with my Fender Frontman 25R and I certainly recommend it for those in need of a switch.

I don't really think that this footswitch is that helpful. The fact that you have to click it twice is annoying, but the size is pretty nice... that's about it.
