Comments about Roland Silicone Case for R-05 Recorder:
I will give this product a VERY generous "3" because the fit and tolerance to the specs of the recorder are excellent. The protection is non-existent in terms of bumps or drops. It would protect from scratches and moisture. The price is outrageous for the flimsy piece of thin rubberized silicone.
A similar case for a phone would sell for $3.99 on EBay. I guess it is the only game in town if you want a custom fitted cover but don't be any less carful about handling the recorder because this "case" will do virtually nothing to protect it.
I wish I could leave a glowing review of this product. The fit is perfect- like a glove. The issue for me is, the actual protection provided by this case is about as substantial as a latex glove. It is so thin and unsubstantial that is feels like it must have cost pennies to make- that is overly generous. I doubt if there is more than 3 cents worth of material here. I am very disappointed that Roland would
put their name on this "case". The recorder that it is made for deserves a more serious product IMHO
The value is the real issue here. This case is worth pennies.
