I have used literally dozens of sets of these strings on different acoustic guitars. They are consistently the brightest and best feeling strings I've tried. They are long lasting in the sense that they are not "worn" after just a few hours, but like all phosphor bronze strings they will lose their "brightness" before they actually wear out.
I play Americana, bluegrass, country and Southern Gospel - the strings work equally well across all these genres.

These strings were terrible. Absolutely no tonality whatsoever. No volume or projection. They sounded dark and muddy. After installing them, I immediately changed them. The worst I've tried.

As the name of the product would suggest, these strings are geared towards jumbos. i use them on my j-200, and they have become my string of choice on that guitar. like most people, i suppose, i'm quite picky about tone with a guitar of that price point. thus, the strings become quite important. for most my acoustics i've used Ernie Ball earthwood's and they have suited me fine. but with this guitar i was after that brighter sound associated with brit-rock (oasis, verve, coldplay, etc.), and these strings fit the bill. i've tried Martin's & Gibson's strings (both good), but these are the best for what i'm looking for.

I cant believe no one has reviewed these strings yet! These are hands down the best sounding string I have ever used. They have a rich, sweet sound, They are loud and they last a long time. The thing is that no matter how great a guitar you have, its only gonna sound as good as the strings you have on it. I challenge anyone to buy a set of these along w/ 5 other top brands and test them yourself. Ive tried truckloads of strings in search of the perfect string. When I found Roto Sound the search ended. Try em. You wont be disappointed. Simply the best. Most music stores dont stock em so you have to buy em online most of the time.
