Comments about Rotosound Roto Blues Light Top/Heavy Bottom Electric Guitar Strings:

I used to play the Ernie Ball strings of the same gauge. I decided to give these a shot and have never looked back. They are brighter sounding, last longer, less prone to breakage, and come with an extra high E string, which is great. Well worth the money.

I play everything from death metal to classic rock, playing with and without distortion. These are very versatile and good for everything, especially metal, when you need the beefy low strings, but need regular gauge high strings for easy bends.

Comments about Rotosound Roto Blues Light Top/Heavy Bottom Electric Guitar Strings:

I've been looking and testing strings after strings for my hollow body acoustic electric playing thru my Fender Acoustisonic Jr., and i really love they way these guys sound. They are everything i wanted in a set of strings. I think the fact that the 'G' string is not a wound string really helps brighten up my tone and allows me a wider variety when i do the blues solo thing. I would highly recommend anyone to try these guys.
I love the fact that these guys come with an extra high E for those of us who tend to break that string.
I've played lots of different kinds of stings, and these are as good as any quality that you would find in it's price range.
For what they are, they are a great value.

I've been putting light top-heavy bottom strings on my Strat for a couple of years, and these are the best sounding and feeling string I've found thus far. I'll buy them again.

Comments about Rotosound Roto Blues Light Top/Heavy Bottom Electric Guitar Strings:

Wow! I thought the tubes were going bad in my Bad Cat amp...but nooooo! I recently bought a second-hand Gibson CS-356 online, that came with what looked like new strings. Some of what I played sounded really good. But, now and then the dynamics seemed to drop out. I called my local instrument shop and made arrangements to bring my amp in to have the tubes checked. But before I did, I replaced the strings with Blues 10s. I like to research things before I buy, as I did with these strings. In one of the forums I found for semi-hollow body guitars, these were recommended. I ordered a set from MF, and put them on today. Shut the front door! My amp has never sounded so good!

Comments about Rotosound Roto Blues Light Top/Heavy Bottom Electric Guitar Strings:

I have a newer danelectro reissue guitar. It's like the one that Jimmy Page used back on Zeppelin I for black mountain side, part of the attraction to the instrument for me. The guitar sounded sub premium at best and I tried Ernie balls and d'addario's with poor results. Then I tried these bad boys and the guitar tone changed from tinny and metallic, bad sounding, to a lovely bluesy tone. Now these are all I use for electric guitar. I love them. If you have a dano or lack the tone you are looking for definitely check them out. It changed a virtually unusable guitar to a professional sounding instrument for me.

I recently tried RS's on a referral and I really like the strings. Best part is they give you an extra high e string. Very cool!

Comments about Rotosound Roto Blues Light Top/Heavy Bottom Electric Guitar Strings:

I decided to try these out because of the wonderful experience that I had with Rotosound bass strings. These strings have made up my mind that I am a Rotosound customer for life. The tone is clear and rings out with a brilliance that I would never have expected.
I have been an Ernie Ball user, as well as many other brands, for many years and was never disappointed in their performance but the Rotosound strings have them all beat.
With some other Light Top/ Heavy bottom strings that I have used have been hard to put on and gave a rather dull sound on the bottom strings, but the Rotosound strings do not have that problem.
I don't think that I will ever use a different brand for either my Strat or my '68 Gibson EB-3 Bass. The search fopr the best sound is over!

                Finally found

Comments about Rotosound Roto Blues Light Top/Heavy Bottom Electric Guitar Strings:

Get that Brit Grit with the Rotos. There's no mistaking the nuances are of any other genre.
I've been switching string brands for a while now. Dropped Ernie Ball's like a bag of hot rocks. They brake too easily. D'Addario strings are very smooth, but a little too smooth for my taste. DR are very reliable but still didn't pack the grit I wanted in my tone. Many other brands came and went, too, until I strung up my Gretsch GS5120 with the Roto Blues. They compliment the TV Jones Classic pu's so perfectly. Instantly I heard the grit I'd been searching for. Drop the volume and some very sparkly cleans rang out gorgeously on the highs. I was pretty happy with what strings I had on my Strat (although now I can't remember what they were) but decided to go orange with it. Woah, man, incredible. Sustain was impressively improved and the response made me feel like I was saying hello to an old friend. With a Strat I don't think pinks would be best. They'll produce a thin sound on their own, a thinner bottom gauge would only stifle your tone. The Blues 10 gauge honestly plays like a 9. Very easy to bend. The 13 and 17 play like a 13 and 17. If you're a light hand like me going up a gauge will take a minute to get used to, but very worth it. So much more depends on how the strings will respond, but there's no denying they're cut from a different cloth, and they happen to be the cheapest strings I've ever paid for. Bonus!
