PROS:
I had never given a second thought to Rotosound strings until I happened to play a friends guitar with a set of Yellows, and really liked them. I've since put them on my bright, somewhat thin-sounding American Strat, and my darker LP-sounding Ibanez Artist AR425. On both guitars the Yellows have a nice feel and bend pretty easily (easier on the Gibson scale-length Artist, of course), Most importantly they have a very nice balanced tone. Compared with my usual DR TiteFits I think the Yellows have a fuller sound, perhaps more midrange. They make my Strat sound richer and less thin, which is great. But these strings also sound great with humbuckers and mahogany on the Artist. These are now my standard string for all electric guitars.

CONS:
Stringing up my Strat I broke 2 high e strings...I've never broken a string before in my life! I now know to be a bit more gentle with the Yellow unwound strings. Good thing they provide an extra high e in every package...maybe there's a reason!

Not sure if I just received bad batch or what, but did not care for these strings at all. From the start I noticed strings actually felt tacky, with fingers dragging a bit when playing lead. Then noticed an obvious break and separation around outer wrap at bridge saddle location.

Comments about Rotosound Roto Yellows Electric Guitar Strings:

Got these on a whim just like everybody else when GC started carrying them. They include an extra high e string if you tend to break them thats a nice feature. The big thing for me with these strings is they LAST. Much longer then other stuff I've used. Worth a shot!

Comments about Rotosound Roto Yellows Electric Guitar Strings:

These strings are absolutly the best I've ever played. The tone of them is amazing. They have a little bit of a ruffer feel than other strings I've used, but they seem to have less tension in them. I love rotos, and definatly recomend them.

Comments about Rotosound Roto Yellows Electric Guitar Strings:

These strings feel nice when you first string it up, but I found they get very muddy sounding very quickly. I'm not much for changing my string frequently. I like dirty strings, but these don't give me the dirty, its muddy.

Great Strings!

Comments about Rotosound Roto Yellows Electric Guitar Strings:

These are definitely my all-time favorite strings. They sound incredibly rich and clear on my custom strat w/ Torres pickups. They don't take long to stretch and settle in when first strung, and they last a good while. Oh man, I love these!

A String that LASTS!

Comments about Rotosound Roto Yellows Electric Guitar Strings:

I tried a set of these on a whim one time, because I didn't even know RotoSound made guitar strings. The store I was in had them on sale. I put them on my Les Paul, and it was like somebody hit a bright switch!Beautiful sound, sharp and clear, sounded good clean or dirty, and STAYED IN TUNE!!!I'm one that sweats a lot and these strings seem to hold up well under that. Just for grins, I left a set on and did 2 four hour shows, and 2 3 hour rehearsals before the strings began to sound funky and finally break. You really should try these. You might get a very pleasant surprise like I did.

Comments about Rotosound Roto Yellows Electric Guitar Strings:

I found some in a music store and tried them because my friend swore by the bass strings.I put them on my Les Paul and it was like somebody flipped on a bright switch! Not at all muddy, very crips and clear, looooooooong sustain, faster fingering.I purposely left some on until they broke, and I wnet through 2 four-hour shows and 3 three-hour practices before they broke. And this was very hard playing. You know when they need changed as they go flat very quickly and all at once. But, until they do, WWWWWOOOOWWWWW!!
