Comments about Rotosound RS77M Jazz Bass Monel Flat Wound Strings:

I bought short scale LaBellas first, but they don't fit on my Japanese hollowbody bass because of the trapeze tailpiece. So I need medium scale strings. I don't like these as much as LaBellas, not as smooth or mellow. They are actually just a little bright for my taste, and you can feel the windings under your fingers after two weeks of heavy break-in and stretching. I'm hoping they will continue to mellow out over time.

Top Quality From a Top Name!

Comments about Rotosound RS77M Jazz Bass Monel Flat Wound Strings:

I recently got a Rogue Violin Bass from my wife for Christmas. I've always used flatwounds, and decided on these strings based solely on reputation. All of the greats have used these strings... including Roger Waters! The first thing I noticed about these strings was the quality craftsmanship! The windings were tight and clean! I found them to be smoother that the Fender flatwounds I've been using. When I got them on my bass the sound was amazing! These are the brightest sounding flatwounds I've ever used, yet the sound is still very warm! I recommend these to anyone looking for quality flatwounds at a resonable price.
